Coquette - “A Woman Who Flirts Lightheartedly”

Untitled1_20Summer must be the peak for nudes and enhancing your features withoutNarsduoes_3  overdoing it. NARS Summer Collection, Coquette, is all about nudes, bronzes and sheen to help accentuate what you already have. My picks of the collection are the beautiful Sparkling Gold Powder ($30) of Venus, a pale ivory with gold sheen, Narsgloss Duo Cream Eyeshadow ($31) in Madagascar, a satin nude and a shimmering taupe, and the Lip Gloss ($21) in Striptease, a beautiful pearlized beige sheen. These truly make a you but better! All @

Scrub and Go With Philosophy

Philowash2Do your daily face exfoliation in the shower with the newest item in PHILOSOPHY’s microdelivery peel family. When you combine the Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash and the Microdelivery Peel Exfoliating Cloths, you can shower while you deep clean your face. The Clothes are kind of a souped up delivery system for delivering the Wash. To use, wet the cloth and pour a small amount on it and work it into a slightly damp face and massage for 30-60 seconds. PhiloclothesThis is not for the faint of heart as far as exfoliating goes. This is a super power scrub with ingredients like borage seed oil to help lock in moisture, and a form of vitamin E to help protect against environmental stress. It also contains Panthenol to soothe and act as a humectants and diatomaceous earth (finely grained powder) to naturally exfoliate the skin. You can also use the cloths with their Purity Made Simple on the days you don’t want to have the full exfoliation. Perfectly polished with Philosophy. Wash: $25/8oz,Cloths - $15/20 cloths @ ~Lisa

What Color Is June?

June is the time to break out all your fun shades of makeup! MAKE UP FOR EVER is ready for any party with Mufe_2Glitters ($13) in Violet #9. It can be used as a dramatic eye shadow, a sparkling eyeliner, or for whatever creative idea you can think up. In contrast to the purple, they have the Star Powder ($18) in my pick Pearl Gold. It’s a super sparkly white that I love adding just a touch in the corners of my eyes. I also do the same for brides on their wedding day. Both @ ~Celena

Frizzies...Frizzies...Gimme A Break!

SudzzfxIt doesn't matter what time of year it is, my frizzy, curly hair is always looking for a little de-frizzing help. SUDZZ FX Zenyth Frizz Brilliance Smoothing Eliminator ($25.50/4oz @ is one that I am keeping on hand for special occasions when I really want to make sure my hair looks right. Use just a pea-sized amount and work it in anywhere that is looking dry or frizzy, especially the ends, and it gives strands a super shiny but not greasy look. ~Celena

A Little Wonder That's A Hair Saver

Combs are ok at it and brushes never seem to work right unless you are a pro. SPORNETTE Little Wonder #111 ($4 @ or 800-323-6449) really aids in the teasing and back-brushing department. The Tourmaline enhanced nylon and pure boar’s bristles are about ¾” wide and the handle is long so you have a lot of control when styling.

Your Daily Face Should Be 3Lab

3labperfectcleansingscru_4Some faces can hack daily use even though it is not recommended. 3LAB Perfect Cleansing Scrub ($50/3.5oz @ gives a squeak-free cleaning and uses Jojoba beads to exfoliate dead dull skin. We’ve mentioned before that you should only use products that use synthetic granules on your face because they use exfoliates that are spherical - round. The ones that contain walnut shells, pumice etc are much too rough and jagged for the face's delicate texture. And this one is extra mild so they say it can be used everyday.
