Review+Swatches - Too Faced Perfect Eyes & Perfect Lips

TOO FACED just came out with some pencils for eyes and lips and I’m really into them, especially the smudgy end on the liners. Yes, they are doing something different than everyone else!

So let’s check out TOO FACED Perfect Eyes Eyeliners and their Perfect Lips Liners after the jump.

Review+Swatches - Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cremes

When a lipstick lists one of the benefits as “moisturizing” I take it with a grain of salt. Of course it will be somewhat moisturizing, for at least 1 minute, but I guess I didn’t expect what I got from TOO FACED’s new La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream. Super smooth, very moisturizing and great wearable colors.

They include white lotus flower and what they call power peptides for moisture and wow, this could be a lip balm but just in a thinner form. So while it doesn't score big points in the longevity department, it does in the on-going moisture department.

As far as pigment, these gave off a nice color with a few coats but not so much that you have to be precise with your application.

Review+Swatch - Too Faced Line & Shine

Do you wear lip pencil or liner? Do you know anyone who does? Seems that pencil has fallen from popularity like pantyhose; no one wears it. But the lines still put them out here and there. And I don’t think I would have even tried this next one had I not received this one from TOO FACED in a gift bag at a party recently.

This Week in Lips

All this week I’ve been putting TOO FACED Lip Insurance Lip Primer ($19 @ sephora.com) to the test with different lippies. But the ultimate test was with a red lippie that is not for the novice! First, what exactly is Lip Insurance Lip Primer? Well, you can pretty much guess from the name, it prevents fading, bleeding and Too-Faced-Lip-Insurance-Lip-Primer creasing. And the results? It worked pretty darn well on every one I wore it with but the toughest one? OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE COSMETICSLip Tar in NSFW ($12.50 @ occmakeup.com). This is probably the most difficult red I have ever encountered because it is pretty liquidy, like more of a true stain,  but this primer tamed it into place and kept it there. The picture shown here is after 3 hours! The only thing I would recommend is to apply the nude formula a little outside of the lip line since you will apply the color to the edge of your lips. That way, it won’t bleed into any tiny crevices around the lips.

Too Faced Keeps Eye Shadow In Place

Too-Faced-Lockdown Since I’m just about at the intermediate level of salsa and it gets really hot in the clubs, I need to wear makeup that’s not going to slid right off my face. And really, eye shadow seems to always be the first to go. was not kidding when TOO FACED named Lockdown the Ultimate Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow ($18.50 @ sephora.com). It’s their Shadow Insurance combined with colored pigment to make for a really un-moveable, un-smudge-able and un-crease-able cream. Choose from six totally wearable shades! Highly recommend the shimmering taupe of Bedroom Eyes and the shimmering soft pink of Prisoner of Love.
