Highlight It with Sorme

Sorme-BrowLift-Pencil-and-swatch Are you a sculpture as in, do you try and sculpt your cheekbones or eyes or nose or any part of your face with makeup? I’ve tried it here and there mostly with my cheeks and well, I guess do ok at it. Lately, I’ve been using SORME BrowLift Brow Highlighting Pencil for not only the brow area but also my cupid’s bow (the slide-looking part just below the nose and above the lips) and then lightly on the inside of each eye. The white/beige matte color will complement most complexions and is just so workable. Have you heard about making your nose appear smaller by using something like this down each side? Or how about to soften the jaw line. I’m sure there are more tips using something like this. Let me know if you have any other tips in the comments! $15 @ sorme.com.

Spring Color Pick 2010 ~ Violet & Tuscany ~

Pantone-Spring-2010-Trend-Colors Let’s continue exploring Pantone’s color picks for the season in an on-going feature I’m calling Spring Color  Picks 2010. The next two picks are Violet and Tuscany. I just love violet and it’s a great accent to any outfit or to help put the focus on a specific feature with makeup, like eyes and even nails.

And when it comes to the warm beige hue of Tuscany, this one is a smart choice if the focus of your look is on a stronger color like the above violet or if you want to look polished and not really made up.

Will any of these be taking center stage for you this season?

Sorme & Estee Lauder are Feeding My Coral-y/Orange-y Obsession

Sorme-Lip-Thick-Gloss-Estee-Lauder-Coral-Kiss-Lipstick I’ve really been into the whole coral collections for spring more than any other color right now and right this minute, I’m feeling it most for lips.

SORME Lip Thick Gloss in Empress ($10 @ sorme.com for locations) – loving this really shiny iridescent orange. It claims to plump up the lips with a natural polypeptide but I don’t really see any change in mine. All I feel is a sort of warmness like I’m chewing minty gum with my lips.

Orange not really your thing? How about a coral-y-but-I-think-is-more-on-the-pinky-side’s ESTEE LAUDER Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick LOVE in limited edition Coral Kiss ($19.50 @ esteelauder.com). It’s pretty sheer so if you find yourself needing a little kick, layer the gloss over it!
