Love Cherry? L'Occitane Does Too!

Another day, another fragrance. While I’m still feeling the glow of yesterday’s product, I must. Move. Onward. And this is a fun one on this post-Valentine’s Day. Yup, it’s another scent and this time it’s the fun cherry scent but don’t think this is kid’s stuff. It’s the latest from the L’OCCITANE line so you know is sophisticated. When I was little, a few of the neighborhood kids and I would walk up to the corner store where we would splurge on the latest sugary candy. No matter what it was, we were true to one thing. Sharon always got whatever it was in lime, Kim got the grape and I always got the cherry. We would then walk home discussing why each of us loved all things lime, grape or cherry (we didn’t associate with anyone who loved orange. Ewww!).

So catching up to the present day, when I saw the Cherry Blossom collection from L’Occitane, the pleasant flashback of picking out cherry candy at the corner store came rushing back. Then I learned there are three collections of cherry products in the line - the (classic) Cherry Blossom, limited edition Cherry and the limited edition Wild Cherry ones. See here for what notes are in each. Here are my picks that really satisfy my adult craving:

Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette ($32/1.7oz), Wild Cherry Solid Perfume Stick ($14/.17oz), Cherry Blossom Soap ($4/1.7oz), Cherry Blossom Petal-Soft Body Cream ($34/8.8oz). All @ loccitane.com.

How About Some Jewelry with Your Beauty?

Michael-Kors-Juicy-Couture-Marc-Jacobs I’ve become such a fan of wearing my jewelry with some kind of beauty product tucked inside. So much so that I had to buy all three of these for myself as “Presents to Me” for 2009.

MICHAEL KORS Very Hollywood Solid Perfume Cocktail Ring ($40 @ sephora.com) – contains his new Very Hollywood fragrance in a solid form.

Another Winner from Crazylibellule and the Poppies

Crazylibellule-26-Juin-ile-d'Yeu-Crazy-Cologne-Stick

Why do I have such a soft spot for the scents from CRAZYLIBELLULE AND THE POPPIES? Could it be the wicked cute packaging? The I-just-want-to-shove-this-in-my-bag-and-go totalble-ness of it? Or just the fragrance itself? I’m going to say a combo of all three. We introduced the line a few months ago with a bang and had to take a breather to relax the nose from all the fun cuteness. Don’t get me wrong, there can be quality with cuteness and this one is the pinnacle of that! I just had to try a few other brands to keep things going here at Cybelesays.com and well, I am happy or not to report and I came back to this line (take it as you will). Their latest scent that has its claws around me right now is this 26 Juin ile d'Yeu Crazy Cologne Stick. It’s a clear solid and contains notes of orange, peach and plum middle notes and rose, jasmine, lily of the valley, cardamom and black pepper and a dry-down base of woods, greedy vanilla (greedy??) and musk. Days at the office are now kinda fun. $18/5g @ b-glowing.com.

Estee Lauder's Sensuous Touch-On Solid Perfume

How enchanting is this one? ESTEE LAUDER’s new limited edition Sensuous Touch-On Solid Perfume ($120/.09oz @ esteelauder.com) is a real gem and what’s funny is that I didn’t really like the Sensuous fragrance when it first came out a few months ago. I made a point to spend some time with the Eau de Parfum SprayEstee-Lauder-Sensuous-Touch-On-Solid-Perfume but it just didn’t do it for me. But for some reason, the solid form of it is really nice and seems to smell a little differently on me. How can that be?

Not familiar with the scent? Sensuous is a woody amber with notes of jasmine, sandalwood and magnolia and is the brand’s first foray into the woody territory.

This 1.5” around rose gold compact with silken cord is a fun way to carry your fragrance around with you and it also makes a great gift.

Truly a Perfume Revolution with Crazylibellule and the Poppies

Got to have wicked cute packaging and colors to get my attention these days and these new solid scents in a stick from the French line, CRAZYLiBELLULE AND THE POPPIES, is really hitting the spot. I mean, how cute are these?? They are called The Crazy Sticks and each is .17oz or as they say on their website, “269 caress-like applications, which is equivalent to a 1.7oz bottle of perfume.” Never even thought of this, so thanks Crazylibellule!

For just $18, you can choose from 7 different scents like Pompon Gardenia to my pick of Rose a Saigon.

Crazylibellule-and-the-Poppies-The-Crazy-Sticks

They aren’t organic but they have, or rather, leave out a lot of frowned upon ingredients like parabens, and coloring agents. And these frags have zero alcohol in them so they will last quite a while on the skin. Choose your newest scent @ b-glowing.com.

Gwen Stefani Is Thinking About How You Smell

HarajukuloversWe have been very excited about this next launch since we read about it back in April. And for me, this is the cutest and most quality collection Ms. Stefani has put out yet. The HARAJUKU LOVERS Eau de Toilette line is quite the breath of fresh air and is just as fun and unique as she is. The fragrance sits inside a glass bottle and each has a different plastic finger puppet-type character on top. And each scent is named after her backup dancers – Lil’ Angel, Music, Baby and my favorite Love. Wait, that’s only four. Almost forgot G, which is Gwen herself.

And there’s even Coffret Solids, which is all the scents in a solid form.

$25/.3oz, $45/1oz and Coffret Solids $60 @ nordstrom.com.

So how about we give some of them to you? We have one of each scent to giveaway. And that’s of the full size 1oz. Yeah!

Who? We will randomly pick 5 winners
