New Line Alert! Argan Magic

Argan-Magic-Soothing-Skin-Salve-with-Orange-Blossom If you’re all into the products that contain Argan Oil these days, you might want to check out this new ARGAN MAGIC line. Not only do their products contain 100% pure Argan Oil but the oil is cold compressed, which helps keep the rich Omega Fatty Acids in tact instead of the more popular, and cheaper way, of heat processing it .

My pick of the line right now is their Soothing Skin Salve. Salves are so multi-functional – use it on the skin to soften, hair for fly-a-ways, cuticles, really anywhere and everywhere. In addition to the cold pressed Argan Oil, this one also contains Safflower Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and a great Orange Blossom and Pomegranate scent. $22/1.5oz @ arganmagicbeauty.com.

Sula Beauty Shows You the Shea

How about getting your hands, knees, cuticles and other body parts on a product where the first ingredient listed is butyrospermym parkii aka Shea Butter! It doesn’t happen often but with SULA BEAUTY’s Organic Shea Butter Balm ($9/20 grams @ sulabeauty.com), that’s what you’re getting, as well as sunflower oil, beeswax, jojoba oil and sweet orange oil. That’s it! So tame your eye brows, bring your toenails back from a long bout with nail polish with this one. Available in Bergamot, Neroli Blossom and Rosa Damascena. Big recommendation!

When In Doubt, Use A Salve

JR-Watkins-Hand-&-Cuticle-Salve-in-Mango If I ever had to choose one, I think my dessert island beauty product would have to be a salve. They are always chockfull of good-for-skin ingredients like nourishing oils and rarely are there ever any bad ingredients in them. Maybe the one I bring to the island could be this Hand & Cuticle Salve from J.R. WATKINS. I have been using this one in place of a hand lotion and while it is a tad greasier than typical hand creams, I find the effects of a salve last longer on the skin (and over moist palms is an easy one to remedy with a dry towel). Inside this one is oils from olives, safflower and sweet almond. Choose from four different ones: Aloe & Green Tea, Mango, Lavender and Lemon. $7.99/2.1oz @ jrwatkins.com.

A Salve Has Got Your Covered

Growing up, I had a neighborhood friend’s Mom that sweared by salves. Got a cut while outside playing?  Hot tail it over to her and she cleaned it and applied “something to make it feel better,” which I later found out was salve. Burt's-Bees-and-BlissEver since then, I have been quite fascinated by them, on a whole. It’s really a laundry list of things salves can be used for besides helping heal a boo-boo: cuticles, tame flyaway hair, makeup primer, chapped nose from a cold and chapped anywherereally like heels, elbows etc, and they can even pacify just-waxed skin. Here are two that are taking center stage in my salve obsession.

BLiSS Problem Salved ($18/.45oz @ blissworld.com)

BURT’S BEES Miracle Salve ($7/2oz @ burtsbees.com).

A Skin Revolution With Revolution Organics

This next new brand is quite a bit of what it’s not. No synthetics, chemicals, parabens, suphates, artificial ingredients, petrochemicals or animal testing. In other words, these three products that make up the line are all USDA certified organic. REVOLUTION ORGANICS is laying out three products for us that Revolution-Organics all seem to be multi-taskers. Here’s the deets…

Lip Therapy Balm ($24/.5oz) – packed with vitamins, Shea Butter and nourishing oils to keep lips in prime kissing shape.

All-Over Body Balm ($28/.5oz) – claims 22+ uses like dry spots, cuticles, fly away hair, unruly eyebrows and even a makeup primer.

All-Over Skin Crème ($33/2oz) – contains 15 skin-feeding organic ingredients for wherever you have skin – legs, arms and even the face.

Can’t wait to see what this line puts out next. All @ beauty.com
