Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen Trio

How often do you think of the products you put near your eyes? I know they are tested for safety but there are still some ingredients that are considered controversial. So it’s nice to see some lines really going out of their way to keep some out of their products like PIXI BEAUTY.

Review+Swatches - Pixi Beauty Pretty Eye Perfection

Pixi-Beauty-Pretty-Eye-Perfection-makeup-paletteHere is PIXI BEAUTY’s new Pretty Eye Perfection ($12 @ pixibeauty.com). Yup, you read that price right, $12 for 12 shadows! And the colors seem all pretty usable – pastels to contouring colors to nice nudes, shimmers and ones without and I’d say these have medium pigmentation.

This may seem strange but I don’t really like when I have a big eye shadow as in, the bigger the pan and more color, the more I feel like I have to use it because I don’t want it to go to waste. These are the perfect size for someone like me with this issue. I’d so much rather have smaller sizes in a palette and more choices then the opposite. Will you be picking up this total bargain?

Pixi Beauty Has Your Week Covered

I’m totally going to get this next one for the “Girl-Who-Loves-Beauty-But-Has-Everything.” PIXI BEAUTY just put out a huge but not too huge to carry Week of Makeup palette (6” wide x 5” x 1.1” deep). The deluxe kit contains peaches, pinks, and nudes for each day of the week.

Open the left drawer and check out the nudes of Monday and the corals and browns of Tuesday. The middle houses Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and the right side drawer is your weekend fun of bronzes, nudes and peaches. There’s 21 eyeshadows, 7 cheek powders and 8 lip glosses. Stay true to each day or mix and match!

You don’t know what kind of makeup she wears? Get her PIXI BEAUTY Week of Makeup.
You don’t know if she wears lip gloss or lipstick? Get her PIXI BEAUTY Week of Makeup.
You don’t know what brands she likes? Get her PIXI BEAUTY Week of Makeup.

$34 @ pixibeauty.com, Target stores and target.com.

A Rulin' Duo from Pixi Beauty

Pixi-Beauty-Succulent-Lip-Twin-Lip-Balm-in-Poppy-Red Wow, This. Is. Love! This two-in-one Succulent Lip Twin from PIXI BEAUTY is at the top of my usage list right now! At first I couldn’t figure out which was the Lip Balm and which was the Lip & Cheek Tint but have since figured out (balm is inside the tube). For me, this product is all about what’s under the cap on top. The Poppy Red tint is thee perfect flush of color for cheeks and it’s the consistency that makes it great. More pigmented than a cream, this one stays the distance. I’m giving this one a big recommendation. Available in Nude Lilly, Coal Camellia, Pink Peony, Poppy Red. $18 @ pixibeauty.com.

Say Hello to Nude With Pixi Beauty

Pixi-Beauty-Nude-Shade-Wardrobe-in-Cafe-au-Lait At no time do I feel more like an art-teest then when I am welding a makeup palette. PIXI BEAUTY Nude Shadow Wardrobe in Café Au Lait is the latest one I’ve been using for my features. It has 18 blendable shades, from light nude to cocoa. Ever doing your makeup and looking for just the right nude color and you can’t find it? I’m sure it’s in this palette. And the shades are all pretty sheer (not deeply pigmented) but buildable. $26 @ target.com.

Line el Lid with Pixi Beauty Lid & Line

Pixi-Beauty-Lid-and-Line-2 I’m a big fan of eyeliners that have a smudge tip on the end. So much so, that I keep a few pencils that have these smudge tips attached to them on my dressing table at the ready. I just truly believe that every liner should come with a smudger! PIXI BEAUTY has a Lid & Line ($18 @ target.com) and this one is three things in one. You can see two of them easily – a normal creamy liner on one side and a quality smudger  on the other but the third items is hidden in the middle of the stick. It’s unearthed by twisting the middle and out pops out a matte shadow that coordinates nicely with the liner. And the formulas have vitamin E and aloe vera in them. Nice! Available in 8 shades and these are so great for toting in your night bag for touch ups.

Pixi Beauty Makes One for the Smoky Eye

Pixi-Beauty-Smoky-Eye-Primer Here’s a new idea. How about an eye primer made just for under a smoky eye look?? That’s just what PIXI BEAUTY came up with when they put out this new Smoky Eye Primer ($18 @ pixibeauty.com and target.com). This chamomile and vitamin E infused formula not only intensifies the smoky eye look but it also holds onto it for longer than shadow alone. It’s water-resistant, contains beeswax to reduce the skin’s production of sebum (beeswax does that??) and the chamomile calms the skin. The color is called Heather Quartz and is a dark grey. So not only will your smoky eye look fierce, it will last!

Two Lippies that Stain on Purpose

Josie-Maran-Magic-Marker-and-Pixi-Lip-Blush I think I would be in heaven if Benefit’s Benetint came in this marker form. I mean, I have never liked the way it applies with that thin nail polish brush. Lame!! But I do love a good stain though as they are completely weightless and can last quite a long time. Here are two getting a lot of love from me these days.

Spring Color Picks 2010

Pantone-Fashion-Color-Report-Spring-2010 If you follow any aspect of fashion, you’ve heard that the Pantone Color of the Year for 2010 is Turquoise. Just hearing that news recently made me want to redo my living room or at least add some turquoise accents. Did I? No but I it did make me think of beauty products and how I could reflect the trend in my everyday makeup look with a splash of liquid on my nails or powder on my lids. “Combining the serene qualities of blue and the invigorating aspects of green, Turquoise inspires thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a comforting escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing.”

Other colors of the Spring Season? Tomato Purée, Fusion Coral, Violet and Tuscany, to name a few. So what does that mean to you? I’ll be highlighting some products that showcase the colors in an on-going feature called Spring Color Picks. First up? Turquoise and Tomato Purée. I’m pairing the soothing blue-green and the tangy classic red in one feature as I think they balance each other out nicely.

So you wanna see the product picks?
