I think I may have found my go-to self-tanner for the summer. It’s PERFEKT BEAUTY’s new Body Perfection Gel in Tan. As the names states, it is a matte body gel that they call it an alternative to tanners, bronzers and even pantyhose but I call it a tanner, or at least the Tan color is though I am curious about the other colors too. It looks like chocolate cake mousse or frosting, coming out of the tube and when it’s smeared onto the skin and it blends really well. It simply looks the most natural and true to life and the secret is their ingredient, Isododecane, an emollient and skin conditioner that helps maintain hydration by locking in moisture and making the skin feel like this one feels on my face. Smooth, but that’s just due to the silicones inside.

It’s easy to apply and seems to work on dry areas, as in, it won’t appear darker in those areas, which is amazing as I have a perpetually dry patch on my right ankle. It contains hyaluronic microspheres to hydrate and ceramides and Shea Butter to make your skin actually look better too.

And like other self-tanners, don’t use any lotion before apply it on the skin. $48/3oz @ perfektbeauty.com.

These two blushes couldn’t be more different from each other but they share a common factor – they both only require a little for color and both last on the cheeks, which are two important factors for me.

TARTE Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush ($25 @ sephora.com) – this one is pretty groundbreaking and here are the deets: the formula is made of Amazonian clay, which minimizes oil on the face and also hydrates it. This one also contains vitamins C and E and believe me when I say a little color goes a long way. You get a really great bang for your buck! Color pick: Natural Beauty (a muted strawberry red) and Blushing Bride for contouring (plumy rose).

PER-FEKT Cheek Perfection Gel in Blushed ($28 @ perfektbeauty.com) – now this is a blush! While I’m not too wild about the applicator (it’s a pump and with the .33oz makes me not want to waste anything out of it), the actual formula is concentrated and this Blushed red color is exactly what you think of when you think of blush. What’s different about this on than other gel blushes? It contains Smart Colour Technology, which is an anti-oxidant caffeine that makes it able to adjust to various skin tones. And I have to agree as it leaves a really natural looking flush in its wake. I just wish this one came with some kind of sponge top like this one so again, I didn’t waste any on my finger or in a sponge. Then it would be flawless!

We wrote about PER-FEKT’s Skin Perfection Gel when it came out many moons ago and I was very excited to recently come across their new Eye Perfection Gel ($45/.3oz @ sephora.com). Unlike other beauty products, I have to go super easy on the amount used, as you read correctly, the tube is a meer .3oz, but it does double, really, triple duty:

• makeup primer for lids
• eye treatment product for doing away with puffy eyes, shadows and fine lines (it contains cucumber extract, antioxidants, hyaluronic microspheres and those all important peptides)
• concealer for under the eyes as it comes in 4 tinted colors – Awake, Bright, Refreshed and Vibrant.

So when you weigh all the products out you use for all three of those, the price doesn’t seem so steep, right?

And I have to point out how useful the metal tip is. It is called a palladium tip applicator and it feels so cooling on the skin when applying the mousse-gel. I can't think of an eye treatment gel or cream that dispenses this way or is meant to be placed directly on the skin when dispensing. Big recommendation.
