A Very Unique Lip Balm from Organic Island

here is some really unique packaging! The company is ORGANIC ISLAND and they
hail from Australia and pack their 100% natural lip balms in real sea shells. So
no plastic packaging and it’s completely biodegradable and carbon conscious (except the wire wrapping that holds the clasp). And the
balm? I thankfully don’t have to include a disclaimer with this review! It’s
made of coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, beeswax, mango seed butter, lanolin wax,
rose hip oil, jojoba seed oil, vitamin E and natural flavoring.
Choose
from 6 different colors and styles of shell and no two are really ever alike.
And each has a mirror inside and a small steep clasp to keep it closed tightly.
But when I first saw these Shell Lip Balms, I couldn’t help to wonder if using shells was taking the housing away from our sea creatures. But my concern was quickly put to rest when I read on their site that they source recycled and damaged shells that have been washed up on the shores. Phew. $12.99 @ shelllipbalm.com.
