Let’s check out the rest of the shades MAYBELLINE has to offer with their Super Stay14hr Lipstick.
Continuing to explore the latest MAYBELLINE has to offer, we move to the lips. Super Stay14hr Lipstick comes in 12 shades and I’m breaking them up into 2 groups of 6 to swatch each and going in numerical order.
Let’s investigate the neutral colors in MAYBELLINE’s EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24Hr Cream Gel Shadows collection.
I’m really into bright, fun eye shadows these days and especially swatching them for the site. The latest to that have me excited is from the MAYBELLINE line. They recently came out with 10 EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24Hr Cream Gel Shadows and to review and swatch these, I’m breaking them up into two groups- the colors and the neutrals. Let’s attack the colors first.
MAYBELLINE just came out with some new products that I’ll be reviewing and swatching in the next few weeks. First up is Dream Bouncy Blush, a lightweight spongy-type formula. When I first saw them I thought they were going to be like the mousse blushes they came out with a little while ago but they are so not like those.
I have my favorite mascara that I’ve mentioned a ba-zillion times here so not many get thumbs up from me but this MAYBELLINE Falsies Flared by Volum’ Express Mascara ($7.77 @ drugstores nationwide) does. Not only does it define lashes but it gives them volume and lots of it with the Kera fibers in it. Yes, things can get clumpy if you are not used to a serious mascara, like this one, so I would say this one is not for the novice.
KATE SOMERVILLE True Lash ($35/1.7oz @ katesomerville.com) comes into the fold when it’s time to remove the above mascara. Part of the reason I am so loyal to … this one, is how easy it is to remove. Taking off most mascaras takes a lot of tugging and pulling in the eye area and even then, most don’t remove every speck of black but this one does. It also conditions lashes, hydrates the whole eye area with chamomile, aloe vera and a major ingredient called SymLash226 Complex that boosts keratin production, so more lashes.

ESTEE LAUDER Pure Color EyeShadow Duo in Waves ($30 @ esteelauder.com) – I’m still all over strong colors on the eyes and teal always looks great next to brown eyes.
MAYBELLINE NEW YORK Eye Studio Color Explosion in Pink Punch ($10.99 @ drugstores nationwide) – I’ve used all of these colors over the past couple of weeks and even all at one time. The price makes this one worth it.
CLARINS Instant Liner in Black ($26 @ clarins.com) – a super flexible tip makes helps this liquid liner hug the curve of the eye for a great application.
SEPHORA Eye Bling ($6 @ sephora.com) – really make eyes stand out with these cute crystals with adhesive on them.
BOBBI BROWN Rich Color Eye Shadow in Pink Silk ($24 @ bobbibrown.com) from the Marrakesh Chic Collection – a great neutral with just a touch of shimmer makes this a great everyday shade for many skin tones.
DIOR DiorShow Liner Waterproof in Plum ($29 @ sephora.com) – liners should all be made this great! It’s really smooth, non-tugging and stays put after setting.
Why do some companies call some makekup products 24-hour in the name? Really? 24-hours? The latest one with this claim is MAYBELLINE Eye Studio Master Drama Eyeliner. While I got about 6 hours total, that’s enough for me. Maybe if you still see traces of color, they can claim that? I don't quite know. Why didya just have to claim so many hours, Maybelline? It’s disheartening to see because I always say “yeah right” right after reading something like that. Anyway, this one rocks, I have to say. The Sapphire Strength shades shown here is like a metallic blue that really makes my dark brown eyes pop and the formula is tre-smooth going on. $6.99 @ target.com.

Here we are at the end of our on-going Spring Color Picks feature. So have you added any of the suggestions like Coral, Turquoise, Tuscany, Violet or Tomato Puree to your makeup routine? Here are some more recs for Tomato and Turq. What’s great about turquoise is that sometimes it’s on the green side and sometimes more on the blue side. The two nail polishes here really depict that.

When I’m walking down the street or in the mall and see someone with a pop of color on like a shirt or bag, I always end up saying in my head, “That looks cool. I gotta get me something in that shade.” And I do make an effort but I find myself gravitating back to the blacks and beiges. Why is this? I mean a pop of color always feels so fun and right. One area I seem to be successful in adding a pop of color to is my makeup routine. Lips or eyes or cheeks, why not add one of the colors of the season, coral to your look?
Here are some more picks in the on-going Spring Color Picks feature. Consider picking up any of these.
