Let’s kick off the New Year with a really great palette; probably the best one I’ve seen in the last year.
Have you seen STILA’s Dream In Full Color Palette in person? I didn’t realize how large it was until I saw it when popped into Sephora recently. I know it’s hard to tell the size of things when looking at it online so I took the liberty of taking some pictures of it in different locations. Stay with me as it will be worth it at the end…

I bet if I showed this BOBBI BROWN Party To Go from her Holiday 2011 Collection to 10 females, all 10 would declare, “I WANT THAT!” 50 out of 50? Probably the same reaction and why wouldn’t they instantly want it? I don’t think Bobbi has put out something so compact in the line before and it’s just delightful!

Here is PIXI BEAUTY’s new Pretty Eye Perfection ($12 @ pixibeauty.com). Yup, you read that price right, $12 for 12 shadows! And the colors seem all pretty usable – pastels to contouring colors to nice nudes, shimmers and ones without and I’d say these have medium pigmentation.
This may seem strange but I don’t really like when I have a big eye shadow as in, the bigger the pan and more color, the more I feel like I have to use it because I don’t want it to go to waste. These are the perfect size for someone like me with this issue. I’d so much rather have smaller sizes in a palette and more choices then the opposite. Will you be picking up this total bargain?

ESTEE LAUDER Pure Color EyeShadow Duo in Waves ($30 @ esteelauder.com) – I’m still all over strong colors on the eyes and teal always looks great next to brown eyes.
MAYBELLINE NEW YORK Eye Studio Color Explosion in Pink Punch ($10.99 @ drugstores nationwide) – I’ve used all of these colors over the past couple of weeks and even all at one time. The price makes this one worth it.
CLARINS Instant Liner in Black ($26 @ clarins.com) – a super flexible tip makes helps this liquid liner hug the curve of the eye for a great application.
SEPHORA Eye Bling ($6 @ sephora.com) – really make eyes stand out with these cute crystals with adhesive on them.
BOBBI BROWN Rich Color Eye Shadow in Pink Silk ($24 @ bobbibrown.com) from the Marrakesh Chic Collection – a great neutral with just a touch of shimmer makes this a great everyday shade for many skin tones.
DIOR DiorShow Liner Waterproof in Plum ($29 @ sephora.com) – liners should all be made this great! It’s really smooth, non-tugging and stays put after setting.

If you are a palette fan and a TARTE fan, they just put out one of the best ones, IMO.I mean it’s rare to get a makeup palette where more than 50% of the colors will work for you. Not so with their NeutralEYES Volume II Natural Eye Palette. I’d bump up the percentage to about 80% totally usable colors. Some may say more!
What’s in this one: 10 neutral shadows, a double-sided brush, Aqua-Gel Eyeliner in Brown and a deluxe-size of their primer, which I'd never tried and it seemed to work pretty well (only tried it twice so far). And did you see the outside of this? It's like a wallet-sized clutch embellished by zipper. Wicked cute. $44 @ ulta.com.

I’m soooo ready for summertime now that I finally found a couple of great summer dresses and now that I have LORAC’s new TANtalizer Palette in hand. Check out these awesome colors - white w/gold pearl, golden bronze, olive green w/gold pearl, shimmering garnet. Each baked shadow can create a day or night look and be used wet or dry but if you are going to do them dry, I would for sure recommend using an eye shadow primer. They especially help adhere baked shadows to the lid for hours.

SEPHORA Baked Moonshadow Trio in Blue Blood 05 ($17 @ sephora.com) – the dark blue is surprisingly black looking on the skin and the silver doesn’t really show up at all. Really digging the royal blue/turquoise.
KAT VON D True Romance Pigments in Johnette ($16 @ sephora.com) – just look at the depth of this blue! You can do it up to be oh-so-sheer to a really deep and pigmented blue that showcases the underlying aurora borealis.
