There’s something timeless about the black and white color combo on products that is so alluring. One that caught my eye over the holidays was SEPHORA’s Sephora by Izak Collection. It’s a collection of cosmetic bags and makeup and the designs are created by French Illustrator, Izak Zenou, and they are about as tré cool as you get.

And I love the span of items they did for it. Here are my picks:

IZAK Pouch – a useful triangle shape to make items easy to find when it sits at the bottom of your purse

IZAK Traincase – who couldn’t use a makeup case to store your products (and I swear one of the women on the front looks just like Nathalie Portman!)

IZAK Nail File Set – I always find myself in need of a nail file and each of the 3 in this set has the cute girls printed on them.

There are a few things women can never have enough of – shoes, scarves, candles and well, cosmetic bags I think also fall into this category. And these are great for the female on your list that you are totally stuck on what to get for a gift.

What it is: VERA BRADLEY Cosmetic Trio – available in 18 different patterns but I think this one called Island Blooms shown here is my favorite … today.

Why I like it: The biggest one is 9” x 6 1/2” and the smallest is 5” x 4”, so there’s a size for whatever you need one for – purse, trip or in the car. The inside is lined with taffeta , which can be wiped clean should something spill.

I know it’s not because I am not in the mall, because I love to peruse the mall pretty often, but I have not really noticed many lines putting out small clutches that only hold a few key makeup items but is also big enough to snuggly fit today’s cel phones. I’m sure they totally exist but I guess I mean I have not seen any makeup lines put them out until now.

Wow a lot has changed with the CABOODLES since I last saw them many moons ago back in the 80’s. They used to be janky and junky from what I remember but they are quite serious now and you should give them a second look. And they have a lot to look at, over 100 different styles of cases! Solid stuff for a good price.
