Swatches - Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes #5 and #21
Since featuring this one from MAKE UP FOR EVER and this contest (have you entered yet??), I’ve been swatching some of the ones I already owned. Can you handle more Aqua Eyes?
#21 is such a great intense turquoise, which make a great liner. Wear it on the lid only if you dare!
The other one is #5 is described as a peachy pink with a slight gold shimmer.
Would you wear either of these colors as a liner or shadow? $22 only @ sephora.com.
Cybelesays Special Report – MAKE UP FOR EVER Los Angeles Flagship Store
It seems like NYC gets all the good beauty perks but in this case, LA was just invited to the table. The brand’s flagship Los Angeles store opens tomorrow 11/11/11 in the chic and tré hip section of Robertson Blvd across the street from Kitson. The 1,300 square foot MAKE UP FOR EVER Boutique & Training Facility is for the makeup professional, the beauty enthusiast and the everyday girl. And what’s great about it is that you can access all of their products in the store – from the body glitters and foundations to all of their false lashes and of course every single piece of makeup they manufacture. All 1,400 skus! Sephora only carries about 40% or so of the line.
The store itself, which was 95% complete when I visited yesterday, is creatively designed with pink neon signs, black brick and a huge graffiti wall art piece in the back. All the pizzazz a makeup lover relishes.

Fall Standouts - Lips
LIP SAVVY Star Studded Shine Gloss ($18 @ belipsavvy.com) – the way this think gloss catches the light is insane. The OMG color is a bright sparkling raspberry and has a hint of bubblegum smell to it.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Lip Line Perfector ($18 @ sephora.com) – there’s really no way to stop lines from appearing around our mouth and color on the lips can bleed, so thankfully they came up with an invisible liner to keep color in its place.
BOBBI BROWN Rich Lip Color SPF 12 in Desert Rose ($23 @ bobbibrown.com) from the Marrakesh Chic Collection – such a great anytime rose color. It reminds me of the first shade of lipstick I ever used.
SKINN DIMITRI JAMES Glosstick Ultra Shine Lip Color in Tender ($12.50 @ skinn.com) – we all want the look of a gloss with the staying power of a lipstick. This one in Tender is YLBB, really better.

Cybelesays Special Report - IMATS Comes To Town!
The big International Makeup Artist and Trade Show (IMATS) was this past weekend and this show just gets bigger and better every year. I mean, I went twice about 6 or 7 years ago and it was just boring and barren but for the last 3 years, it has more hip brands than ever and it always sells out.
So who was there and what did I see and buy? Click after the jump and be prepared for a lot of pictures!
Swatch Heaven with Make Up For Ever
Lotta buzz around MAKE UP FOR EVER’s new Aqua Liner ($23 only @ sephora.com) and I can see why. They work!! Not only is the formula really good and lasts but the triangle tip is on the small size so it makes the wand easy to wield in that tough area. So apply it and then watch it … not move! So how does it do on oily lids? That remains to be told since my lids are pretty normal, sorry! But if you know, please share in the comments!
Shown here: #4 Diamond Lagoon Green and #13 Mat Black.

Cybelesays Special Report on The Makeup Show 2011
The Oscars were not the only thing to rumble through Los Angeles last weekend. The Makeup Show made its way into the city and while some of the usual brands made their appearance, there was one big brand debut whose attendance was a shocker.
