Santa also rears his head in your bath this season Get your head outta the gutter! It’s in the form of LUSH’s Satsumo Santa ($5.95/5.8oz @ lush.com). This bath bomb highlights the zesty orange with mandarin oil, bergamot oil and orange flower absolute. Very refreshing.

Gift Pick - LUSH Angel's Delight
You know you’ve got a winner on your hands when you can smell the product through the packaging. And this is the case with LUSH’s Angel’s Delight Soap ($5.95/3.5oz @ lush.com). This one has real tangerine oil inside and just a splash of blackcurrent. And this one is just so colorful, which is great for anytime of the year, really.
Gift Pick - Lush Golden Wonder bath bomb
LUSH puts our great holiday items, so I’ll be peppering this guide with a bath bomb here or soap there, so be sure to check back.
My first pick from their line of holiday goodies that won’t break the bank is their Golden Wonder ($6.95.7.8oz @ lush.com) bath bomb. This one smells of fruity citrus of orange and lime and contains cognac oils.

Review: LUSH Rub Rub Rub
Leave it to LUSH to continue to come up with super clever names for their products (how does one apply for this job?). Rub, Rub, Rub is the latest one and it falls into my favorite category of body exfoliators. Made for me by Vic (I’m going to start recognizing the person on each product in reviews!), this one uses fine sea salt, fresh organic lemon juice, jasmine flower infusion, mimosa absolute and orange flower absolute, to name a few ingredients; smells great, works great! And it can do double duty and be used as a shampoo.
One thing I can’t quite figure out is why it’s blue? There’s nothing in the ingredient list I can see that would make that color except the last one listed on the label, the Blue No. 1 dye inside. So Lush, why the blue? $19.95/11.6oz @ lush.com.
The product contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is seen by some as an ingredient of concern. Read more about it here.

Summer Perfection Products
These are really helping me enjoy summer this year! Have you made any adjustments due to the heat and humidity? Give these ones some consideration.
ELIZABETH ARDEN Pure Finish Mineral Cheekcolor in Sunkissed Coral ($28 @ elizabetharden.com) – If this one could talk, it would say, "I am the color of the decade!" Coral again is a big summer color and it's so gorg on the skin and really enhances a nice tan.
ORLANE Super-Moisturizing Tinted Cream ($75/1.7oz @ neimanmarcus.com) – it’s way too hot to put on a full mask of foundation so why not use a two-fer like this? It combines a deeply moisturizing face cream with a slight tint. Available in 3 shades.
NYX COSMETICS Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Sky Blue and Extreme Green ($4.50 @ nyxcosmetics.com) – colored liquid liners are hot these days and these do like the Michael Jackson/Paul McCartney duo and “Stay, Stay, Stay.” (I know it’s Say, Say, Say but Stay works better for this piece!).
LUSH 'Dirty' Springwash Shower Gel ($9.95/3.3oz, $17.95/8.8oz, $26.95/16.9oz @ lushusa.com) – I really wasn’t feeling their Dirty collection of products but this shower gel seems like a lighter version of the rest, according to my nose and it has a hint of spearmint oil in it.
SMASHBOX Photo Finish Luminizing Foundation Primer ($17 @ smashbox.com) – who wants their makeup to slide after applying? Summertime is great for this one as it gives a nice sheen, whilst helping makeup stay, stay, stay! And this one has some good-for-skin ingredients like grape seed extract and vitamins A, C and E.
VICTORIA’S SECRET Sheer Love Ultra-Moisturizing Hand and Body Cream from the VS Fantasies Collection ($12/6.7oz @ victoriassecret.com) – a scented cream is the perfect way to kiss the skin with fragrance without overdoing it. This one is a mix of fresh white cotton and luminous pink lily and contains avocado, zsweet almond oil and my favorite ingredient, honey.
The Victoria's Secret item contains mineral oil, which is seen by some as an ingredient of concern. The Lush product contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is seen by some as an ingredient of concern. Read more about these and other ingredients here.

LUSH Gets Me Hottie!
I just started a regular workout routine again and oi, my body is sore. So much so that I think an overall massage would actually hurt too much at this point. So I am starting slow and glad I have LUSH’s Hottie Massage Bar on hand for my calves (we did 100+ lifts!) and triceps from the brutal pushups.
The shape of the bar is square so it’s easy to hang onto whilst rubbing and the bumps on the bar actually need to help massage the oils into the skin!
The formula in this bar is specifically made for really sore muscles and contains black pepper oil to help get the circulation going as well as ginger oils and then their usual Shea Butter, jojoba oil and cocoa butter to nourish the skin. Overall I wasn’t really wild about the scent and I saw that they have this one. Must. Get. Hands. On. It!
I keep a few of their massage bars on the coffee table in front of the TV so when I’m their watching my latest VH1 reality show, I can mindlessly some into elbows, knees and especially heels. $8.95/1oz @ lush.com.

It's Raining Men with Lush
There’s just something about the honey-based products that LUSH puts out. They are the best (bold) smelling honey products I have ever come across and I just want to shout this from the mountain tops! The latest one I’m loving is It’s Raining Men. It’s a shower gel for the body and hair and maybe it smells so yum because the first ingredient listed is Honey, then Rosehip, Lotus Flower and Tiger Lily. If you are a Lush fan, this is one to check out. $8.95/3.3oz, $16.95/8.4oz, $24.95/16.9oz @ lush.com.
This product contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is seen by some as an ingredient of concern. Read more here.

Have Your Tried LUSH's New Fragrances?
I’m pretty obsessed with LUSH’s new fragrances. The Tuca Tuca one ruled my world a few weeks ago and I finally was able to try the others and wow, q-u-a-l-i-t-y! As I mentioned before, there are 7 new scents: Tuca Tuca, Imogen Rose, Lust, The Smell of Freedom, Orange Blossom, Karma and Vanillary. I’ve been alternating between Orange Blossom and Karma. The Orange one is really summery and starts off very floral but dries down to what they call a honeyed wood.
And Karma is the one I’ve been wearing in the eves. It’s more earthy, with the pine oil inside coming from Eurasia. Mix that with patchouli and citrus notes and you’ve got Karma. I know that the patchouli scent can turn off most but this one really does not make it stand out, it only adds to the depth of the scent.
And they even offer these scents in a solid form. Thank you Lush! $8.95 to $64.95 @ lush.com.

LUSH High Dives Into the Fragrance Pool
LUSH has dabbled in the perfume arena over the years and I have not been too wow’d by any one scent. But I can’t say that about one of their new perfumes called Tuca Tuca. This is probably one of the most heady fragrances I have experienced in some time and once you try it, you don’t forget it! Inspired by a catchy Italian song heard by the perfumers while traveling in Venice, Italy, they call it a violet leather. Not a title I’ve heard before but this is the Lush line we’re talking about and they break new ground all the time, right? I’d call it a musky violet with a dash of sandalwood and the actual notes in the vegan perfume are cassie absolute (part of the floral family), vanilla, sandalwood, vetivert, violet leaf, and ylang ylang to name a few. It’s part of a new Gorilla Perfume collection of perfumes they are just putting out and they have even dedicated a whole new site just for them here. And I just noticed on their home site that they have a limited edition fragrance kit that contains all the new scents for only $12. Let me say that again, seven new scent samples for $12. Thank you LUSH!! $29.95/1oz, $10.95/.3oz, $1.70/.07oz @ lush.com.
