Let’s get to know CLARiNS’ new HydraQuench Mulit-Climate Care skin care collection. These adjust to the climate to give your skin the ultimate protection. Diet Hand Cream

I am delighted and disappointed with this next one. It moisturizes hands beautifully but it has no scent! I have become so accustom to scents when it comes to beauty products. TREAT BEAUTY Sugar Free Therapy Hand Butter ($12/1oz @ treatbeauty.com) is one of the best hand creams I have ever used and I guess they call it sugar free because it has no scent, which is good for those that are sensitive. It’s made with organic ingredients and is paraben free and lanolin free and contains Shea Butter, aloe and jojoba. So if you have really dry skin, this is a good one for you to try. And maybe this one will help me get over my scent addiction.

You Want the Best? You Got the Best…

There’s a new line on the horizon and we’re please to introduce you to it. If your skin seems to be extra sensitive, flaky, dry or red this time of year, then this line is for you. What sets this line apart from others? ATOPALM has a patented MLE technology, which helps restore the skins’ lipid layer that can be broken down in these colder months. Think of these as a toothpaste made for when your teeth are sensitive.

The 7-product line has ones for your face and body and they have a great kit with nice sized versions, which I always say is the only way to try any line. Have Heavenly Hands

There’s nothing like a soothing hand cream to really make my dry hands feel better and this one lasts well after I’ve put the cap back on the tube. LA MER The Hand Treatment ($70/3.4oz @ cremedelamer.com) may be a bit on the pricey side but as I’ve mentioned before, isn’t it worth it to pay a little extra for something that really works for you? This is certainly one of those products. And this formula contains an exclusive Skin Lightening Complex that helps jazz up how the skin on your hands looks. I’m also a fan of the light scent it leaves behind. Nice job La Mer.

Hardcore Moisture

I love when I stumble upon a LUSH store as it doesn’t happen everyday. I was in Boston for the Holidays and came across one in Cambridge. Of course I had to stock up on my favorite BIG shampoo and try some new ones while I was sampling. One of my new favorites from this excursion is Fever ($10.45/2.2oz @ lush.com). It’s an oval moisturizing bar that you simply clutch and rub on. The scent is jasmine, rose, and sandalwood. So yum! And the red lips on the bar? They are slightly tinted to rub them on your lips.
I also recommend buying the Massage Bar Tin ($4.95) to keep it neat.

Washing Up

Where do we wash our hands most often? The kitchen, of course. And that’s where we need a gentle cleansing hand soap and soothing hand lotion. UPPER CANADA SOAP makes it easy to accomplish both those tasks. From their Organic Kitchen line, the Lavender Bergamot Antibacterial Hand Wash ($10/13.5oz) is a soft scent you never tire of with rich moisturizing glycerin. Frequent hand washing requires layering on the lotion immediately to prevent dryness! Their Gourmet Kitchen Hand Lotion ($10/13.5oz) in the pump dispenser makes it easy to lotion up right away. We touted BECKER-ESHAYA’s Be Eau de Parfum fragrance last year and they’ve complimented it with a moisturizing Body Lotion ($30/8.1oz @ beautyhabit.com). Italian mandarin, pink peony, lily of the valley (a big favorite), rose and a hint of musk are the notes as well as aloe vera and flower extracts. The best trait of a scented lotion is that is can be worn alone like during these hot sticky summer days or layered to make the scent last longer.
