Have you ever said “Woo-hoo!!” out loud after applying a product? Well this Artliner Waterproof Precision Point Eyeliner in Beach Gem ($29) from LANCOME made me do just that. I am in love with it! It’s the perfect shade of sparkly metallic green teal and it stays, stays, stays on lids. The color seems a tad random since the rest of the color makes me think of summer and this color, well, it doesn’t exactly make me think of summer but it still rocks.

There seems to be a contest right now between the brands of whose liquid liner can stay the longest while looking the best. Do you have a favorite?

My other pick from this collection is the Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Quad Smooth Hold in Heat Wave ($42) – the colora in this quad are really summery and tre blendable with each other. Colors include Beige, Peachy Keen, Copper and Dark Brown. What’s your favorite color for summer?

I’ve been into the super dark black shadows lately, like ones that give a really sexy smoky eye. And I am loving this Ombre Magnetique in Black Macadam from LANCOME. They are calling this a new generation of ultra sparkling shadows and because of its look and it has an extra-long wear time because of special polymers in it. This color is super black and very smudgy with bits of sparkle in it but not in a kid way i.e. no glitter bits you can feel. In the jar this one reminds me of new blacktop in the street glimmering by the streetlight. Big recommendation. $25 @ nordstrom.com.

Since I change my lip color from lipstick to gloss to stains a few times a day, I’m starting a new on-going feature called This Week in Lips with what my stand outs are for that previous week. Wow, was I ready for LANCOME’s new Oscillation Powerfoundation with SPF 21 to be a gimmick. It just seems that taking the vibrating technology to foundation was pushing it too far. I mean it sounds good in theory but, really, vibrating mineral foundation?? It uses 7,000 micro-vibrations per minutes to break down the powder into mircronized particles and work them into the skin for a natural look, which actually makes more sense than you would immediately think! And you don’t have to make circles with the sponge, which you normally do when it comes to applying mineral powders.
