Spring Color Pick 2010 ~ Coral ~

When I’m walking down the street or in the mall and see someone with a pop of color on like a shirt or bag, I always end up saying in my head, “That looks cool. I gotta get me something in that shade.” And I do make an effort but I find myself gravitating back to the blacks and beiges. Why is this? I mean a pop of color always feels so fun and right. One area I seem to be successful in adding a pop of color to is my makeup routine. Lips or eyes or cheeks, why not add one of the colors of the season, coral to your look?

Here are some more picks in the on-going Spring Color Picks feature. Consider picking up any of these.

La Prairie Helps Bring Out the Best In You

I love fragrance and I’ve probably stated that on a few occasions here on the site. I don’t have a signature as each seems to complement a mood so my makeup table displays about 30 different ones and I don’t add to the line-up that often.

La-Prairie-Life-Threads-Gold-Eau-de-Parfum LA PRAIRIE just came out with a new line of fragrances called Life Threads with each, “honor(ing) the endless possibilities of women’s lives.” I’m not sure exactly what that means but it makes me think of the various situations we encounter throughout our lives.

So I’m going to play the game association with each of the three fragrances: Life Threads Silver, Life Threads Gold and Life Threads Platinum.

Life Threads Silver Eau de Parfum – wood floral with notes of green leaves, bergamot, tuberose, jasmine, vetiver and moss. Fun, flirty and a great daytime scent.

Life Threads Gold Eau de Parfum – spicy oriental with notes of tangerine, plum, clove, pepper, cedar, and vanilla. Envision the fragrance the host (the wife half) of a wild 1970’s party would wear for the event.

Life Threads Platinum Eau de Parfum – floral chypre with notes of plum, violet leaf, jasmine, rose, leather, golden amber and oakmoss. Smells unisex and when you want to be taken seriously like at the office.

$125/1.7oz each @ laprairie.com.
