Review: Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick

Korres-Raspberry-Antioxidant-Liquid-Lipstick Is there such a thing as a non-sticky lipstick? I mean, these are pretty unsticky probably because they are matte. Well one that is sticky but shiny like a lipstick is KORRES’s new Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick ($22 @ sephora.com). These are water-based and contain the antioxidant-rich raspberry and pomegranate extracts, certified organic acai palm pulp oil and applies with a lip gloss wand. Soooo  smooth and slick on lips, but not so slick that it doesn’t last a while. Choose from the following: Red Berry, Natural, Nude Beige and Fuchsia.

Disclosure: Samples of these items were provided to Cybelesays.com for review purposes.

It's Beginning To Smell Like Spring in My Shower

Is it shallow to judge a shower gel by how it smells? I mean, how do you determine if one is really good or not? I used to just base it on how well it lathered and how my skin feels but I’ve used some good ones in the past few years that don’t lather at all so that trait is out (here are two for example). Now it’s smell and how my skin feels afterward. Not rocket science. And since Spring is officially here next week, here are three that have a springy trait to each.

From L to R:

  • KORRES Basil Lemon Showergel ($13/8.45oz @ korresusa.com) – lemon zest and fresh grown basil from the garden.
  • LA FALAISE Honey & Macadamia Nut Body Wash ($9.95/6.6oz @ savonlafalaise.com) – bees, buzz, buzz.
  • PAYOT Revitalizing Shower Gel ($16/6.7oz @ strawberrynet.com) – fresh cut spring flowers. This one smells like it should be a bottled perfume.

Prime Away with Korres and Boscia

Boscia-Skin-Primer,-Korres-Face-Primer A lot of the lines are putting out face primers and I had the chance to find a few. Some didn’t work at all while others faired really well in the temps. Know that both are free of lots of bad for you ingredients like parabens, synthetic fragrances and petro chemicals and the formula of the Korres one is the first ever to be silicone-free.

KORRES Face Primer ($10/.34oz, $28/1.01oz @ sephora.com)

BOSCIA Skin Perfecting Primer ($28/$1oz @ sephora.com)

New Greeks On the Block

Homeopathic Greek line, KORRES, just added a full line of makeup to their lineup!Korresgroupforsite_3 I was very surprised that they did this as I never thought is would be up their alley. Overall the colors all seem wearable most a lot of skin tones – no Urban Decay colors here. The skin benefiting ingredients are worked into these products too. For example, the Eyeshadows are made with natural botanicals and passion fruit oil. And the pigment intensity varies depending on the shade.

Product picks right now are the Eyeshadows ($16) in #35M Brown and 24S Gold, Blush ($22) in #16 Pink and Deep Colour Mascara ($18) in #04 Blue Black. Look for more reviews on this line in future posts. All exclusively @ sephora.com

A Homeopathic Delight by Korres

KorresAny beauty product with the word honey in the title gets my immediate attention. I just love what honey does for my skin. The Greek company, KORRES, was an early one on the market that endorsed the all-natural way. 1996 to be exact and they have grown to 150 products strong. None of the products contain mineral oils, silicones, or propylene glycol. They spend a little more for quality natural ingredients but the costs are pretty reasonable in comparison. Two new additions to the line are the Thyme Honey Cream ($26.50/1.35oz) and Thyme Honey Mask ($29.50/1.35oz). Thyme honey is one of the best qualities of honey available in Greece and contains a lot of antioxidants. This ingredient ensures maximum moisture and these are both made for normal to dry skin.
