Mascara wands are like skirt hems, they oscillate between thick/longer and thin/short by trend it seems. One that is concentrating on getting every lash even at the base of the lashes is IT COSMETICS’ Tightline Lash Line Black Mascara Primer.

What it is: an ultra-skinny wand so you can coat lashes starting at the root of the hairs next to the lid. It’s also like using an eyeliner in that it deposits the black color on the skin, filling in areas in between the hairs or where hairs are missing. It also has the word primer in the name but I’m not sure how that play into this one. Hmmm…

My take: Not just for the base of the lashes; I bring the wand the whole way through lashes. I loved their mascara here and this one probably uses the same great formula. 

I see these sell as a duo only @ qvc.com for $29.

I raved about this one in the feature here and I’ve tweeted and Pinterested about it and it really has stood the test of time, so it’s time! I’m adding IT COSMETICS Vitality Cheek Stain to the Hall of Fame (cue trumpets here). Not only are the colors nicely pigmented but, most importantly, they stay vibrant on cheeks for hours! When was the last time you wore a blush that could do that? Not often.

How are you with applying face highlighters? You know, a little above the cheekbones, under the brows, down the center of the nose, in the cleavage. Here are two I’m recommending if you want to add them to your beauty regime. And these especially look nice in an evening look.

BARE ESCENTUALS bareMinerals Secret Radiance All-Over Face Color ($19/.85g @ bareescentuals.com) – From the Remix Collection, this one has a golden hue to it to really give you a luminescent look. And I like that it’s buildable.

And they also just came out with a Buxom Divine Goddess Luminzer if you like a non-powder version. Only available @ sephora for $28.

IT COSMETICS Hello Light Powder Illuminizer ($24 @ itcosmetics.com) – Yes, this is a nice pressed luminizer and all but I don’t think the brand can put out a product without incorporating anti-aging ingredients … and that’s a good thing, right? But since this feature is about how a product performs, know that the formula infuses micronized pigments of light to blur those imperfections and it does it well. *sigh* Brill!

To say that I am pretty much in love with the IT COSMETICS line right now is an understatement. Each product I have tried has a reason to be there and is outstanding in its category. Nothing worse than a product that is put out just for the sake of it, which is pretty common in makeup lines.

The latest I tried is their No-Tug Silk Anti-Aging Waterproof Eyeliner and as the name states, this one contains some anti-aging ingredients like Collagen, Hydrolyzed Silk and Anti-oxidants though I’m not sure these cover enough skin to really make a difference and I think it’s more of a schtick, but I digress.

Let’s look at the basics of these – do they apply nicely, last and how’s the pigmentation?

Cheeks are big this season, as in defining them, so make sure you have the latest shades and technology on your side. And like I’ve said before, get one that’s multi-purpose or double-duty like IT COSMETICS’ new Vitality Cheek Flush ($24), though I’m not quite sold on the whole “infusing anti-aging ingredients inside makeup.” I mean, does the average person wear enough of it to reap the rewards? Or is this just a cosmetics trend. Things that make you go hmmm…

Anyway, in addition to these containing some major anti-aging ingredients, they are also a first ever, powder blush stain.

Look at this HUGE palette from IT COSMETICS. It’s their Vitality Face Disc and looks like a discus used in the Olympics, doesn’t it?! This brand is really coming about and is playing with the big boys when it comes to competition. Let’s investigate, shall we?

In addition to having an outstanding formula, you must have a wand that also not run-of-the-mill. Yes, we all want length, volume … we want it all and while the wand itself wasn’t changed for many years, it seems to be a tad tweaked with every new mascara that hits the shelves.

The latest one I tried is getting some big raves from me. I think IT COSMETICS has found a way to achieve the best of both worlds when it comes to the mascara wand – they’ve incorporated the cool ball that the Givenchy mascara uses, calling it the Lash Ball Detainler, on the tip of a regular, well, maybe not regular, but more normal looking mascara wand and call it Hello Lashes! I think because if you couldn’t even see your lashes before, hold on because this one will make them so long, you’ll be saying Hello Lashes!

They call this is a 5-in-1 Treatment Mascara that is voluminzing, conditioning, hydrating lash primer, lash-enhancing serum, lash tint and lash comb/curler. Hmm, not sure about some of those but I do know it makes my lashes very defined and really long. Great product! $20 @ itcosmetics.com.

I’ve become a little obsessed with this next product, as it might be the best I’ve ever seen in this category. It’s a concealer from IT COSMETICS. Bye Bye Under Eye is a full-coverage, waterproof concealer that can be used under eyes, over blemishes, age spots and it really covers beautifully without creasing or caking.

Because the skin under the eyes is so thin and delicate, whenever you put concealer underneath, you run the risk creasing and cracking over time but not with this Bye Bye. It really melts into the skin to become one. Behold, they are one!

The founder worked with leading plastic surgeons in Brazil to create this product and they included a lot of good-for-skin ingredients like vitamins K, A, C, E and Collagen to help with puffiness and overall discoloration.

I’m surprised that this comes in a 1oz tube as it’s really pigmented so a little goes a long way and because it is in a tube, I don’t have to worry about contamination. Big recommendation. Available in 4 shades for $24/1oz @ itcosmetics.com.

How much do you truly love an all-in-one? In this case, we have a lip color, balm and anti-ager. IT COSMETICS just put out Vitality Lip Flush 4-in-1 Reviver. It contains a slew of everything good for lips and skin, which they have a patent on called Hydra-Luxe Technology. It is made up of plum and cherry oil, shea butter, argan and jojoba oils, vitamins A, C & E, and green and white tea extracts as well as aloe. Geesh, how do you fit all that in this tube??

The mercury was pinned to well past 90 degrees in my apartment this past weekend. If I didn’t have to go to a friend’s birthday party on Saturday, I would not have even bothered going out. Looking half decent in these kinds of conditions isn’t easy, as I’m sure you’re aware, as everything on my dressing table of makeup looked too heavy and hot to wear. Ok, powder. Let’s move all the powder products to the front of the table: mineral foundation, loose eye shadow and this Get Wet makeup powder trio from IT COSMETICS ($32 @ itcosmetics.com). This palette houses a (matte) bronzer, which is on the dark side, and two highlighter shades (shimmering light peach and shimmering white) and each is totally sweatproof, waterproof … basically everything proof. They say that each is wearable on all skin tones.

From the picture on the outside of the magnetic case, it looks like it was made for the body, but since I’m not doing photo shoots everyday, I’ll stick to applying these to my lids, face, and once in a while, my décolleté. These can be used to sculpt your abs and other places so if you dare, this is a good trio to try that out.
Back to the party – every time I had to use the restroom, I would lightly splash some cool water on my face to cool down and can firmly say that the places I applied the Get Wet powders didn’t smudge, smear or come off. Towards the end of the night, a water fight broke out in the backyard but knew I was fine since I knew my makeup wasn’t going anywhere.
