What it is: BARE ESCENTUALS The Royal Treatment

Why I like it: It has a little bit of everything from their makeup line (15 pieces total), and it comes in this wicked cool roll-up cosmetic case. I'm usually not a fan of smaller-than-the-original products but it this case, it's works, and  it's a great way to try their makeup line to see what colors etc will work for the recipient.

Price: $85 @ bareescentuals.com. It’s currently out of stock but if you need this for a last minute gift, you’re better off getting it in one of their stores. Call ahead of time!

She’s into Vemon and Motörhead, tattoos and dates one of the best electro-house music producers of the past decade and she’s cool enough to have a makeup line.

What it is: KAT VON D Starry Eyes Makeup Palette – 4 Eye Shadow Trios in Felix, Helmüt, Lohnër, Requiem, Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Lolita and Adora.

Why I like it: I love this not only because of the mucho shadow colors you get for the price but the quality is great. When was the last time you used up a whole shadow? Exactly. Instead of giving us a ton of a few colors, they give us 3 in each color family. And were these modeled after the Inglot brand’s shadows? Hmmm.

What it is: CLINIQUE Whole Lotta Colour Set

Why I like it: lip balms are just lip balms unless they have a kick o’ color like these do. And this set is perfect for the beauty lover on your list. She may own one but with this set you get 5 of their best sellers. Colors include: Oversized Orange, Curvy Candy, Richer Raisin (my personal fave), Chunky Cherry, Super Strawberry.

What it is: PRINCIPESSA limited edition Hand Cream & Foot Balm Set

Why I like it: I am such a fan of this line and proves that indy brands rock! Focused on the three P’s, perfume, performance, and packaging, this duo is mini sizes of their Cattiva Diva Hand Cream and Luxurious Foot Balm will give you a taste of what this line is about.

The Sephora brand always has such great holiday items that it’s hard to just pick one and they are reasonably priced. So here are a few I’m recommending from them this season.

What it is: SEPHORA Set of 5 Eye Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear

Why I like it: I love jumbo eye pencils because they are so easy and quick to apply and each of these shades are basic must-haves: Taupe, Kaki, Black, Purple Glitter, White Glitter

What it is: NAPOLEON PERDIS Magical Owl Brush Collection (12/6 email)

Why I like it: I can’t stress enough what a great gift a nice set of makeup brushes make. I think it is a part of beauty that is often overlooked and gets an afterthought, when it comes down to it. This set’s brushes are all made of natural (hmm, wonder what that means exactly…) and synthetic hairs. Brushes include: Powder/Blush Brush, Foundation/Primer Brush, Foundation/Buffing Brush, Angled Eye/Brow Liner Brush, Sponge Eye Shadow Brush, and Crease Eye Shadow/Lip Brush. And they come in the cool black owl-embellished wristlette. So cute!

Do you like safe neutral colors or do you once in a while like to add a dash of edge to your eye look? If you have someone on your list that loves color, this next one is for them.

What it is: URBAN DECAY Feminine, Dangerous, Fun Palettes

Why I like it: Some of the colors in each palette have some spark and some are a little more on the neutral side. UD’s eye shadows are a great quality so you’ll get a ton of combos out of whichever one you choose. And with these, they are introducing a new Pigment Infusion System, that helps give each its rich velvety texture and staying power.

I think each case was feeling a little lonely as each includes a mini Lip Junkie Lipgloss inside. Aww! And the zippered vinyl case is just so unique and feel sleek when I run my fingertips along it.

There’s always someone on your list that you have no idea what they would like. You know they like beauty but have no idea what kinds of colors they wear or what items are their favorites. I’d say, if you don’t even know that, why not just drop them off your list altogether?? Ok, ok, I won’t be a scrooge! I have the perfect one for them here and I’m sure no one will outdo you with this one.

What it is: T3 Source Shower Filter

Why I like it: This completely unique beauty product that your recipient won’t get a dupe of is something you probably didn’t even know you needed! This showerhead filters out the chlorine in your water that can damage your hair and wreak havoc on your color. It uses a filtration process that they call Redox, which removes it and balances the water’s pH. And it’s ok to get yourself one too.
