We’ve been so caught up in the Holidays that we’re a little late on our last color pick of the season, Metallics. They are hot and my favorite feature to play up has to be the eyes and my other … you’ll see tomorrow.
The Internet is just not the place to see the powerful effects of metallic and metal colors like gold and silver. You just can’t get the intensity and luster of a color. And do glitter products count under the metallic umbrella? It’s tiny metal-like pieces, right? We could have gone crazy with the glitter products but only a few really qualified for this piece so here are some suggestions to check out in person.
Think purple is too much for some occasions? Then try its cousin Mauve. In addition to purple wine, green moss, and nude shimmer, mauve is kicking up quite a storm in fashion this fall. Purple was sizzling on the runways and seems to be dominating cosmetics especially for the eyes so wear wines, eggplants, violets, lilacs; any shade of purple on your lids and don't forget how wonderful it is to wear on your cheeks and lips. Ask most men about NUDE and they think of well, besides that, one color. Women … well, we know all the variations. There’s fleshy nude, beige nude, beige-y pink nude and even metallic-y nude and the formulas can be sheer or very pigmented. I love that the color can really polish off a look if you’re going for simple and low maintenance or if you want to make one feature really stand out. Add a sprinkle of shimmer and you have one of this season’s “it” colors. And what’s great about this shade as it’s hard to go overboard.
