CHANEL put the Hong Kong Collection out to celebrate the opening of their store at the Hysan Place, a new luxury temple located at the center of the island and the biggest boutique in Hong Kong.
East meets West with their Nail Colours in the collection – Eastern Light – opaque white enamel and Western Light – described as a chocolate brown glowing with a pearly red heart.
I had to get to these latest lippies from CHANEL before they roll out another collection! They are both from the Spring 2013 Color Collection and are the Rouge Allure Velvet lippies. Click after the jump for more pics and swatches!
At no other time do I feel beauty A.D.D. then when it comes to the category of nail polish. Say I’m feeling a beige and put it on my 10 digits, about 1 to 2 days later, I’m ready for a vibrant pink, and then 1 to 2 days after that, it’s time for something shimmery and vampy and it’s not always in this order! I just can’t make up my mind when it comes to polishes so most of the time, I just don’t wear anything because as soon as one nail begins to chip, it all has to come off. Yup, call me high maintenance in the nail department, I guess.
But I do have to say, these 3 Le Vernis Nail Colours from CHANEL Spring Color Collection, seem to be covering all my color bases.
CHANEL’s Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colours are some of my favorite long-wearing lip colors you can get. Not only do they last hours on the lips but they are not drying and the colors are really wearable. The latest addition is from … you guessed it, their Spring 2013 Collection called Rose Pearl and is described as a shimmering warm rose. While I like the color, I don’t love it. I think these long wear lippies are better looking and lasting in non-shimmering form but that’s just my preference. $34 @ chanel.com.

Anytime I just see any version of orange in new beauty products coming out, I automatically think Spring, and it just gets me giddy! Someone pointed out to me the other day that we are about 2 months away from the official first day of the season, so it only makes sense to start exploring what we’ll be wearing soon enough.
Looking for a new lippie look? CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Color in 307 L’impatiente is described as bold and intense with a matte effect, deep burgundy or as they call it, a black red, gives luxurious colour. We all remember CHANEL’s Vamp polish from a few years back and I think I like this deep red black that is Malice Nail Colour better. Part of the reason is I don’t think it will scare men as much!

Let’s step into the holidays with CHANEL’s Holiday 2012 Makeup Collection, Elats d Soir de Chanel. Since I’m so hot on nails and lips these days, I’m going to focus on those for this feature.
Shall we start with lips? How about the 3 Glossimers in this collection – Allégorie, Mystery and Intrigue.

Somebody pinch me because I can’t stop staring with glee at the eye items in Blue Illusion de Chanel. Reviewed and swatched here are the two eye shadows and eye liner.
The
collection is described as, ”Peter Philips, Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup,
borrows the intangible hues of summer blue. Like a cloud-strewn sky, eyes take
up shimmering reflections that change with the light. The juvenile grace
of an almost nude face showcases eyes with marine depths, mellowed by the
radiance of blue tones.
On eyelids,
ILLUSION D'OMBRE takes on a scintillating and satiny effect that makes eye
makeup glow with each bat of the lashes. Two airy shades of grey blue, one
pale, DESTINATION, and the other more intense, APPARITION, adapt to all faces.
Eyeshadows are applied according to inspiration: in sheer washes or deep colour
