It contains really everything to get your brows in shape – 4 brow stencils (I don’t know anyone who uses these or has successfully), spoolie brush, tweezers, angled brow brush, and a compact with two brow powder colors, brow wax and a under-the-brow highlighter all in a cute zip-up kit. Are you a sculpture as in, do you try and sculpt your cheekbones or eyes or nose or any part of your face with makeup? I’ve tried it here and there mostly with my cheeks and well, I guess do ok at it. Lately, I’ve been using SORME BrowLift Brow Highlighting Pencil for not only the brow area but also my cupid’s bow (the slide-looking part just below the nose and above the lips) and then lightly on the inside of each eye. The white/beige matte color will complement most complexions and is just so workable. Have you heard about making your nose appear smaller by using something like this down each side? Or how about to soften the jaw line. I’m sure there are more tips using something like this. Let me know if you have any other tips in the comments! $15 @ sorme.com.

I pretty much have the most unruly eyebrows on the planet. My father is French so not only does he have a uni-brow but the hairs are really long and as I get older, I’ve seem to inherit the super long hair trait. Normally I don’t think the average person needs to keep their brow hair in order but if you have long ones, you do. NYX COSMETICS’ Eyebrow Shaper ($8.75 @ nyxcosmetics.com) contains a blend of waxes that seem to hold them in their place and this one is enriched with vitamin E, whoo-hoo! I’ve used the ones that are more of a liquid that come in a mascara tube and the formula starts off as clear and turns to a dirty brown because I am applying it after I use a pencil to fill in. This one is just overall better because I am avoiding that aspect of yuck altogether.

Wow CLINIQUE is putting out some really useful products these days. There’s this one and then there’s this Instant Lift for Brows ($15 @ clinique.com). It’s a two-fer as in one side is the filler to add a little color to sparse brows and give them some shape, while the other side is a warm pink brow bone highlighter, which we know makes eyes just pop. And the filler is wax-based, so it will also help keep the hairs in place. Love that!! Available in 3 shades, Deep Brown, Soft Brown and Soft Blonde.

You’ve read it a billion times – eyebrows frame the face. I have a few people in my life that I’ve shared this words of wisdom with and they still don’t get it. Or they get them waxed one time and then never again (my sister). So what can you do? How about give them a kit like CHRISTI HARRIS’ Precision Brow Planning System? We thought DARAC BEAUTY was a one-hit wonder but they seem to be back and in a big way with this Brow Trio ($22 @ daracbeauty.com). There seems to be something different about using the color at an angle vs the stick I have become used to, which is a pencil. The slant seems to give a much more realistic finish. Could I just be imagining this? And this color is perfect for my medium brown hair.

Gotta love a two-in-1er like these to spruce up brows.

I’m still pretty obsessed with my brows these days and even moreso since I wait longer in between waxings to save money. So I’ve been plucking! Ugh, the pain. I hate it. Anyway, beauty is pain and the new ANASTASIA Baked Highlighting Brow Kit ($32 @ anastasia.net) has pretty much been my lifesaver to keeping my eye area popping since Christmas. Inside this magnetic case are two lumps of baked terracotta – one is for brows and the other is for highlighting around the eye. And they contain their exclusive ingredient, Balkan Botanical Infusion, which is a rare plant and herb extract only found in Romanian soil. It seems like this should come with a duo brush but it doesn’t. I guess there are too many choices in with this for a brush with just two sides!

Plucking, waxing, threading, I hate it all but do it to my brows every three weeks. JAPONESQUE Double-Ended Brow Gel + Soothing Cream ($17 @ amazon.com). One side is a cream that soothes the skin after doing any of the above and the other is a brow gel to keep hairs in place. Nice duo!
