Oh BOURJOIS where have you been? Seems like only yesterday when I was on your tip of knowing and getting products that you were coming out with. Well, good to hear you are still around with your quirky and fun packaging and here’s another good one that just came out. Volume Glamour Ultra Care Mascara ($15 @ ulta.com) has a newly created brush that really helps get color to your hard to reach lashes. And it seems that mascara formulas are quite enhanced these days. Take this one. It includes a blend of cotton oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E and even Omega 6! Love that. And they also say this is great for those with sensitive eyes. So if volume is your thing, this is one to try out.

Have you ever applied a product, stepped back and declared, “This is exactly what I’ve been looking for!” It doesn’t happen often but it did for me with BOURJOiS’ new Shimmering Shine Liquid Eye Shadow ($16 @ ulta.com). This shadow has single-handedly got me really excited about beauty right now. Remember Suki shadow we featured last week? Same level of excitement! Wow, two weeks in a row!

Here’s the skinny: The formula is 55% water so that combined with the ultra-pearlized pigments leave you with a shimmering metallic finish that is sooo beautiful! And it also dries quickly to a water-resistant finish, from what I experienced. Color picks: Gris Platine (silvery grey with a blue accent) and Brun Magnetique (ultra iridescent brown).
