There has to be a beginning for every line and I really think this B&E SOAP & SCRUB CO. is off to a great start. Launched in 2012, they use naturally derived ingredients in all their face and body care products. Whenever I read a hefty statement like that, my eye is immediately drawn to the ingredient list to see what they consider “natural,” and with the two I tried, they passed.
If
you’ve been with me for a while then you know my love for products made with
honey. And the latest one I cannot get enough of is L’OCCITANE’s new Shea
Butter Honey Whipped Body Cream ($22/2.5oz @ loccitane.com). Not only does this
limited-edition cream smells heavenly and so comforting, but it is really light
and my skin drinks this stuff in! I can’t rave about this one more as it’s
teetering on Hall of Fame status right now, but only time will tell.

In true Kiehl’s fashion, they pay attention to what they use and don’t use in their products. Each contains 30% less ingredients found in traditional fragrances, using instead higher proportions of each key ingredient. So when you smell these, they don’t really hit you in the nose with the scent, which I kind of like. Subtly is sexy too.

What is Target good for? Just about everything now that most carry an almost fully stocked supermarket inside. If you look to them for beauty then you’ll want to investigate their latest offers, a TARGET Scent Bar. In yet another collaboration, this one is the brainchild of the Los Angeles guru fragrance boutique by the same name.
And these are not your everyday boring, cheap or brash scents. ‘Tis the season for flowery scents and I love a delicate one encased in a nice think hand cream. The latest I’ve been carrying around in my bag is ESSENCE OF BEAUTY Hand & Body Cream in their newest scent Lilies & Freesia. This one blends the two together with a touch of sandalwood for a nice, but sadly too brief of a nose experience while rubbing this into hands. Still a good quality hand cream though $5.99/8oz @ CVS stores nationwide.

This RED CARPET KOLOUR Body Glow reminds me of this one that generated quite the buzz a few years back but there are a few improvements, which I likey!
What it is – a luminous body lotion that that is applied in a circular motion and once it sets (takes 5 minutes), it won’t transfer to clothing, sheets etc.
What I like – wow, it really made my legs look so fab with the slight self-tanner I had on them already. The effect is subtle but a nice detail that we don’t often think of. Just make sure to immediately wash your hands with a scrub after applying so it doesn’t stay in palms because this stuff stays put! And speaking of staying put, it lasted on my skin for a few hours. I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to those firming body lotions. I mean, all that work of slathering it on and most of the time I think the results last like an hour, if at all. Well because I was really curious about this newest one on the market from the French brand, IOMA’s, new Body Pro Line, I made the 6-week commitment to try it out.

My take: I rubbed some of this on the backs of both of my thighs morning and night and did it every day and it really did seem to lessen some of the dimples in that area, and for totally more than one hour. This one uses the latest in biotechnology and plant extracts to not only firm but improve drainage and tone the area. I was pretty surprised, to say the least.
So is it worth the steep price tag? We all have our areas we spend the dollars on to improve and if this is your area, this would be a good one for you to try for yourself.

How picky are you about your body lotion or body cream? Mascara = yes, blush = no, foot cream = yes, but body cream = no. I think I am a body cream slut! One I tried that is really garnering points with me right now is VOTRE VU Snapdragon Crème and ooo, is this one lush.
