What I’m Loving Right … Now!

From L to R clockwise:

Nail Love - CUCCIO Colour Nail Lacquer in Java Va Voom and Cream & Sugar from the Café Cuccio Winter Colour Collection - $8.50 @ - a really great quality nude is seasonless and this Java Va Voom one is the perfect shade of coffee with 2 creams in it and when you need a little extra zhoosh on tips or toes, Cream & Sugar is a darker nude with tiny flecks of multi-colored sparkle.

Cheek Love - BENEFIT Majorette - $28 @ and – and blush that gives you that sexy flush is never out(it) of season and this pinky-peach, cream-to-powder one will give you an instant boost. Wear it alone of under other blushes. And I love the slight tangerine scent to it!

Primer Love - NYX 'Honey Dew Me Up' Primer - $17 @ – it’s certainly no secret that I love honey and seek products out that contain it, this one that uses it in a primer surprised me. First it’s in the gel form and it has tiny gold flecks that help with overall radiance. Ok I guess! What really impressed me is the way it felt while applying it and after applying it. Unlike most face primers, this one didn’t instantly disappear into my skin and actually did make it feel a tad dewy until it set. My skin really felt soft, smoothed out and “prepped” for the next step, which is an overall first. Big recommendation.

Face Love - PACIFICA ‘Perfect Lotus’ Universal Powder - $16 @ and – this buildable pressed mineral powder really brightened up my complexion and I was really surprised how universal the Light shade was! It blended in nicely and didn’t sit on top of any lines in my face.

Fragrance Love - CARVEN L’eau de Toilette - $79/1.7, $104/3.3oz only @ – I’ve become quite the eau de parfum snob in that I feel I’m sort of wasting my time by choosing an eau de toilette as that scent is not as concentrated as a parfum version. Well this one may change my mind.
Aside from the lovely fresh, grassy, and totally feminine fragrance this one imparts, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say it’s the more concentrated version as it certainly wears like one! This release is considered the “younger sister” of the Le Parfum that came out in 2013 as they share the same bottle design and some of the same composition like sweet pea, freesia, white hyacinth and white woods, among others, this one is considered the “sweeter,” of the two.

Zit Love - COVER FX Blemish Treatment Concealer - $38/2.5g @ – I’m always so hesitant to put any makeup on a blemish for fear of making it worse but thanks to CFX, they want to take that fear away. The formula contains 10% Salicylic Acid to treat and Babchi Seed Extract to increase cell renewal. Check out the other new products in the blemish treatment collection.

More Nail Love - MILANI Color Statement Nail Lacquer in Mauving Forward $3.99 @ – I’m finding myself not quite ready to jump into the fall just yet but am inching my way towards it with this shade of purply-mauve.

How to Really Get Your Makeup Done in 5 Minutes

The secret to getting your makeup look done and out the door in 5 minutes is to use multi-taskers like ones that are tinted. Since you don’t have to be as precise with tinted versions, time is on your side. Here are some in each category you should cover in order to at least look polished.

First up is a Tinted Moisturizer or tinted BB Cream. They can be applied with your fingers or a sponge and not only are they usually available in quite a few shades but they give just a hint of tint so you don’t have to worry about overdoing it. And some even come with a built-in SPF, so you’re saving a few extra seconds on your routine right there! Here are some I recommend:

1. PIXI BEAUTY H2O Skintint $24/1.18oz @

2. BEAUTY ADDICTS Mineral SheerTINT $32/1.25oz @

3. MAYBELLINE Dream Pure BB 8-IN-1 Beauty Balm Skin Clearing Perfector $8.99/1oz @ and <--- this is a good one too if you are prone to acne.

4. TOO FACED Tinted Beauty Balm SPF 20 $34/1.5oz @ and

Just remember that if you do choose one that doesn’t contain sunscreen, make sure you apply some before one of these.

This new gel liner in a pen is a huge launch for BENEFIT COSMETICS and the buzz on it seems to be everywhere. It complements their super successful They’re Real! Mascara and called They’re Real! Is This One Really BIGGER Than A BB Cream?

I’ve kinda been expecting someone to come out with the next multi-tasking makeup for the face i.e. the next phase of BB or CC creams and this 'Big Easy' Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector from BENEFIT COSMETICS seems to be it. So what does it do? Well, it’s a multi-multi-tasker – controls oil, balances moisture, fights off free radicals, protects skin from the sun with a broad spectrum SPF 35, is able to self-adjust to match your skin tone, and it washes the dishes… ok kidding about that last one but I really think these products that do so many things are spoiling us beauty lovers in a major way! But I’m not complaining. I just need to keep expectations in order when I’m trying out non-multi-tasking products.

So how does this one stack up? I’m really liking the formula a lot. It comes outta the tube looking like a foundation but it goes on pretty sheer and is buildable. They say it, “melts in like a cream, yet finishes lightweight & velvety like a powder … “ and I couldn’t agree more. You know that feeling when you’re wearing foundation? Well this one absolutely doesn’t not fall into that category and I can’t think of the last time I actually didn’t feel when I was wearing it.

This comes in six shades but remember it is self-adjusting, so most should be able to match their tone. I’m not sure why the darkest shade is really not that dark so for right now those with darker tones that will miss out on this one but I’m guessing there is a good reason.

And as much as I love Benefit’s packaging, I really think they need to cut down on the boxes and inserts as it really is a waste of materials for something that just ends up going in the trash.

Benefit Cosmetics Greets 2014 with Lollitint

Love BENEFIT COSMETICS’ cheek stains? Well they just came out with a new one called Lollitint. And it’s right on trend with 2014’s Color of the Year, Orchid. This one called described as a candy orchid and is a lilac or lavender cream color.

Since these are a stain, I find the best way to apply them is to dab-dab onto a sponge and then dab-dab onto cheeks. That way there is no harsh lines or streaking.

Is this something you will be picking up for 2014?

Gift Pick: When You Need Something Quick!

What It Is: BENEFIT COSMETICS Groovy Kind-a Love! and Luv it Up! Holiday Makeup Kits - $36 and $25 @

What I Like It: Every gift set the brand makes is ready for gifting and just so much fun that you’re sure to get a smile out of the recipients. Sets like their aforementioned contain multiply deluxe sample sized shadows, blushes, lippies etc from the brand all in a keepsake tin box. I don’t know how the brand does it! I mean, I think it’s expensive to create unique packaging like they do for a lot of their products and limited-edition ones but I guess that’s how you get people’s attention, so take advantage of it!

The 2013 Cybelesays Holiday Gift Picks

It’s that time of year again! Time for my Annual Holiday Gift Guide and with so many great products out there, I’ve got a lot of suggestions that will fit many on your list. So from now until Christmas eve, when you see this Christmas Tree next to a product picture in a post like below, you’ll know it’s one of my gift picks. Let’s get it started.

What it Is: BENEFIT COSMETICS Countdown to Love - $68 @

Why I like it: This is one of the more creative items I’ve seen but it requires gifting early as in, by this Monday, December 1st, to get the most out of it. So if you are out shopping this Black Friday weekend, put it on your list! It’s one of those advent calendar but instead of using chocolate or other edibles, this Pop Art box has 24 beauty treasures, which are mostly their best-selling products, just deluxe-sized versions of them like High Beam, the POREfessional, BADgal Lash Mascara and others. And on 3 of the days, the recipient will open the door and get a cute piece of jewelry.

Benefit Cosmetics Puts Out A New Box o' Powder

When I first laid eyes on the BENEFIT COSMETICS’s new Rocktateur Box o’ Powder ($28 @ I thought it looked a lot like Dallas, which is one of my favorite all-time blushes. But upon further inspection, I see that this one is not as bronzy and described as a rose gold, while Dallas is a more of a rose bronze color.

And while this Rockateur is certainly easier to wield because it’s lighter and buildable, I still think Dallas suits my tone better because it helps give cheeks some definition because of the bronzer color mixed with some pinky blush color.

New!! Benefit Cosmetics Bathina "Soft to the Touch...Hard to Get"

I’m a big fan of this one from BENEFIT COSMETICS and they just came out with a body oil with another one in this Bathina Collection with the lovely scent called Bathina “Soft to the Touch…Hard to Get” silky & seductive body oil mist ($34/2.5oz @

This is a mist of body oil and contains sweet almond, olive and avocado oils, as well as vitamin E, so perfect for applying after a bath.

But here is my question, since the brand has fragrances in their line now, why no eau de parfum or eau de toilette of this scent? It’s really nice and would be wonderful to layer it onto this one. Just a thought…, Inc.

Who Says A Primer Can Last 15 Hours?? They Do.

I’m always a little suspicious when a product claims “24-hour wear” or in this case, “15-hour wear.” How can they really test that it lasts that long (would love to see the procedure!) and isn’t it really just a name they can give the product? In any case, the latest long-wearing product is BENEFIT COSMETICSStay Flawless 15-Hour Primer Base ($32 @ This one is an invisible face primer used before any tinted moisturizer or foundation to prolong the wear.

Benefit-Stay-Flawless-15-Hour-PrimerI love that it comes in a stick form as you can see from the picture so I don’t have to waste any of it on my fingers.

So how long did it last on my skin? I got a full evening out of it the few times I tried it and that’s always good enough for me. My test is how much makeup comes off on my washcloth when I’m washing my face. So you could say I’m a fan of this stick., Inc.
