Airbrush Foundation With the SK-II Line
I’ve
never tried the Japanese line SKI-II so when I was contacted by their PR people
about their Air Touch Foundation Compact, I jumped at the chance. I’ve tried
the airbrush foundations before but this one seemed like a new breed of them,
though the technique itself is not really considered new anymore.
What it is in a nutshell is airbrushing using a cordless round puck. It uses a AA battery inside and with the simple press of a button, a fine mist of foundation comes out.
This
Air Touch uses a unique ionization technology to dispense the formula of pure
pigment particles and a Pitera formulation onto the skin. I’ve never seen a
finer mist! So much so, that I find myself pulling it away a few times while
using it on my face to try it on my hand just to make sure it’s working. And of
course it always is. It’s just so super fine that I’m not used to it at all.
I
feel like the originally air brushing system I used just last year is so
archaic now! No cords, nothing to fill up with the liquid (this one uses a self-contained
packet) and the best is there’s nothing to clean up!
The
only room for improvement I see with this one is the excessive non-recyclable
plastic box it comes in. Total waste. Available in four shades for $165 for
starter set (puck and refill) and $90 for refill @ ski-ii.com.
