Rarely am I confused by a beauty product but this 60 Minutes Self-Tan Liquid from FAKE BAKE has me a little perplexed. I get it that the formula reaches it full glow within 60 minutes but what I don’t get is that you can adjust the depth of the color. Basically, after 60 minutes, if you are not satisfied, leave it on for another 60 minute and then wash off. Well I’m not much of a direction reader (I inherited this trait from my father) so I just put it on, and kept it on, and didn’t wash it off and got a nice medium dark tan on my legs, which is where I always test first. Maybe I’m not their target person to try this one out as I can’t see why anyone would want a light tan as like I said, this one left some medium color on me. Nothing outrageous.

The lotion is colored so it “shows where it goes,” as they call it, and it doesn’t have any strong self-tanner scent to it, which is usually what you have to tolerate those first 24-hours. $31.99/8oz and mitt @ fakebake.com.

We all remember CHANEL’s Vamp polish from a few years back and I think I like this deep red black that is Malice Nail Colour better. Part of the reason is I don’t think it will scare men as much!

Yes, this is probably my favorite all time hair conditioner but I don’t/can’t use it all the time for various reasons, price being one of them. However, I do still want to use a good conditioner and boy, are they hard to come by. One that knocked my socks off at how well it works for so little investment $ is  NEUTROGENA’s Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. You’d have to be living under a rock not to know how huge nail polish is these days. The market seems saturated but there is a new brand amongst us called FLOSS GLOSS. So what makes their Nail Lacquers different from other lines? The line was launched in 2011 after one of the founders just couldn’t find colors she liked and started mixing her own.

Besides these being free of the yucks found in cheap-o polish like DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde, they also pride themselves in getting full coverage on the nail with just one swipe.

You think you’re old? Try turning 140 year-old, which is what SHISEIDO is doing this year. Can you believe it? I don’t know of any other makeup brand that is that old. To celebrate they just put out Zen Secret Bloom Eau de Parfum Intense and if this isn’t the most sexiest scent I’ve smelled in some time. The limited edition eau de parfum was created by the same nose at their Zen fragrance back in 2007 and this is the third edition of the fragrance.

This one is called a chypre-floral blend with notes of jasmine absolute, freesia, patchouli, incense and black vanilla. And actually, as I sniff-sniff away at my wrist, this one seems quite fitting for a man too.
