Not a lot of situations call for glitter makeup but when they do, how do you get it to stay on? Lids seem to look best dawning it, and I just discovered a reasonably priced liquid to help it stay put. HARD CANDY Show Girl’s Secret Glitter Glue & Brush is all you need to get glitter to adhere to the skin for sparkling eyes, cheeks or even a cool design.

I have been alternating between using this for glitter liner and a neutral glitter in the middle of the lid. All you do is put a drop of it in the cap, dip your brush into the liquid, pick up some glitter with the brush and liquid and swipe on the skin. You can also apply the liquid on the skin first and then press the glitter into it; try both ways to see which works best for you.

I’ve pretty much come become accustom to the white residue powder that comes with the territory of using a dry shampoo. So I was mucho surprised then I started using REDKEN’s Powder Refresh 01. There’s pretty much no white powder to contend with! It’s part of their Style Connection Collection and comes in a large and mini size, just in case you need some on the go.

Like all the good ones, this absorbs oil, extends the life of a great blowout and, as I find myself mainly using it for, over using a product in my hair. Do you change your foundation from season to season or is it rather week to week? Like fragrances, I fall into the latter category. But the latest liquid I’ve been rocking is BENEFIT COSMETICS’ new Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow SPF 25 Brightening Makeup. This is their foray into the foundation category and I have to say their timing is right on. What I partially mean by this is that it sucks when a brand comes out with a product, just to have it in the line. I really feel like they did their due in creating this one.

It’s described as a lightweight and brightening formula that’s oil-free and has a SPF 25 PA+++ and comes in nine different shades. They have somehow incorporated oxygen into it, as the name states, to help plump up the skin and hydrate it. Did I notice this? Not really to my naked eye.

If you are in the market for a medium coverage foundation, this would be a good one to give a whirl. And I like that it comes in a keep-the-foundation-bacteria-free pump bottle and a little goes a long way. $34/1oz @ benefitcosmetics.com.
