Product Review - Tom Ford Violet Blonde

Tom-Ford-Violet-Blonde-fragranceLotta buzz on TOM FORD’s latest fragrance, Violet Blonde eau de parfum, and I can’t say I liked it when I first tried it but it for sure has grown on me. I am huge fan of his Gucci Rush and that was an instant fave so I was a little surprised as how long this one took for me to warm up to it.

It’s based on powdery notes of violet and iris and this is the first of three he will be releasing shortly (the others are Jasmin Rouge and Santal Blush).

Top notes: violet leaf absolute, Italian mandarin and baie rose.
Middle Notes: Tuscan orris absolute, Tuscan orris butter and jasmin sambac sampaquita.
Bottom Notes: benzoin, cedarwood, vetiver absolute, silkolide and soft suede.

I think this one is for evening wear as it is pretty heady but in a good way and I’ve found myself reaching for this on a few occasions when I want to feel a tad extra feminine. $100/1.7oz, $145/3.4oz @ sephora.com.
