The Los Angeles International Makeup Artist and Trade Show (IMATS) was this past weekend in Pasadena, CA and while it’s not as big as the International Salon & Spa Expo (ISSE) I go to every year, there were still some must-sees.

I had a few things on my list of what I wanted to see or pick up and one was to visit the CLARISONIC booth and pick up some replacement brush heads for a fab price. I got 10 for $50. How’s that for a bargain!?

I know I recently tweeted that the amount of makeup brushes I own will last me the rest of my life, I still managed to find some at show sponsor ROYAL LANGNICKEL's booth that I didn’t have. The 4 I picked up seem really well made.

STILA just put out a few new products, one being the highly coveted One Step Makeup and One Step Correct, which they couldn’t even keep in stock. I didn’t get one but I will get my hands on one soon. I did pick up their new Raspberry Crush Lip & Check Stain and wow, this is exactly what a stain should be!!

NYX was there selling just about every product they make for a huge discount. One thing I didn’t get were the long lines (I heard up to an hour) to pay at the MAKE UP FOR EVER and MAC stations for only a 20% to 40% discount. They'd have to offer a bigger discount than that to make me stand in that line!

Overall trend? Glitter! Either for eyes and face, on nails or in the form of tattoos. There were a lot of booths selling glittered products. I picked some up from Eye Kandy – 5 colors and their Liquid Sugar, which was on my list to pick up.

Best surprise of the day? NAILENE was also on hand giving their goods away – packs of nails, glue and their French Tip Pen Kit.

All-in-all, I had a great time perusing the isle and watching some of the shows, my favorite look being this one shown here of the girl in a dress made of playing cards. This would make a great dress for any occasion and Elvis and his fake chest hair could be your date!
