Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

Viktor-&-Rolf-Flowerbomb-Purse-Spray One of my favorite scents to come out in 2009 has to be VIKTOR & ROLF’s Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum. I bought  a bottle after smelling a swatch of it in a magazine and then forgot I had it until earlier this month. Has that ever happened to you? Anyway, I know that a scent can smell different in a magazine then in the bottle but this one translated really well and wow, is all I can say about this one. It has top notes of tea and bergamot, middle notes of Sambac jasmine, orchid, freesia, rose and base notes of patchouli. I really recommend you make a note (no pun intended) of this one to at least give it a whiff next time you are in a department store. It’s simply stunning! Floral but adult floral.

And give a scent release a little bit and the accoutrements that come out are usually really good like this one comes in the Flowerbomb Purse Spray ($110 only @, which comes with 3 refills. Big recommendation.

On the Cuff - Now Why Didn't I Think of This??

Now here’s one that I’m filing under a new total necessity. ON THE CUFF is a pair of sponge bracelets that stop water from dripping down your arm when you’re washing your face. Genius! It’s a long time problem and there has never been a solution until now. And they are not just limited to washing your face. How about wearing them when you wash the car or the dishes? Big recommendation! $7.99/pair and you can even get a Drying Stand for $5.99 @

Maybelline New York Puts Out THE Bronzer

I’m not really big into bronzers at least compared to two friends I have. They live by it! But since I’m not doing any kind of self-tanning these days, I have felt the need to give my face some definition, so I’ve been playing with a few bronzers. MAYBELLINE NEW YORK Mineral Power Bronzer in Sunrise Bronze ($10.99/4.5g @ is the perfect balance of not-too-matte-not-too-shimmery type of bronzer. And this one comes withMaybelline-Mineral-Power-Bronzer its own 2” tall kabuki brush, which is perfect for applying the number 3 on each side of the face. What’s the 3? Start above the temple and sweep the brush into a number 3 coming down to your cheek and then end the number by sweeping down the jaw line. Repeat on both sides of the face for definition and be sure to keep a light hand as you can always build.

Have You Tried Kings & Queens Yet?

Kings-&-Queens-Sultan-of-Granada-Lemon-Flower-Body-Scrub With each KINGS & QUEENS product I try, I like the line more and more - the packaging, the graphics and of course the product inside. My latest love from the line is the Sultan of Granada Lemon Flower Body Scrub ($11/6.76oz @ A little history from the back of the product:

During the long lasting dynasty of the Nasrid Sultans, the Spanish city of Granada was famous, among others, for its magnificent gardens. Every spring and summer, the blooming lemon trees sent over the walls and into the palaces the smell of Paradise.

Couldn’t have explained the title of this product better myself! Not only is this one rich with lemon but also Pomegranate, Blue Egyptian Lotus and Malachite extracts, like all their products.

I really think this line should be getting more attention.

A New Breed of Skin Care – Mineral Cosmetology w/Omorovicza

The winter brings with it a bunch of changes in the body and for me, the skin on my face seems to really be affected every year, like it’s caught a cold or has the flu. So even though for the most part I can put just about anything on my skin, during this time of the year, I have to be somewhat mindful. A new line to me and the site is called OMOROVICZA [o-more-o-vee-tsa]. The line was created when an American and Swiss Omorovicza-Thermal-Cleansing-Balm discovered the skin benefits of Budapest’s famous mineral thermal baths. Each product in the line contains their Pannon Complex, which is a blend of proteins and vitamins found only in these thermal waters. I tried the Thermal Cleansing Balm ($102/1.7oz @ and the cold my skin seems to catch each year is all but gone! It’s hard to describe but it just feels decongested.

Now don’t be weirded out by the color or the feeling of the non-foaming balm. It’s a dark grey/black and is pretty thick so a little goes a long way. And the end result is pretty moisturizing on the skin so you probably won’t need to add extra moisturizer afterward. It’s kind of like how my skin feels after using cold cream. I can pretty much guarantee you haven’t tried anything like this one before.
