Ineke's Latest Brings Us to Paris

Ineke-Field-Notes-from-Paris-fragrance The INEKE line just came out with a new scent called Field Notes from Paris ($88/2.5oz @ It’s unisex and is a Woody Oriental, which can be overwhelming for some. Unlike other categories in beauty, that’s the beauty (pun intended!) of fragrances, if you know your notes, then you can simply read about a fragrance and pretty much know if it’s one you should check out. So if you already know you like the sexy Woody Oriental or are looking for a fragrance that makes a statement, read on.

  • Top: Coriander Seed, Orange Flower, Bergamot
  • Middle: Tobacco Flower & Leaf, Patchouli, Cedar
  • Base: Tonka Bean, Leather, Beeswax, Vanilla

The Latest Technology in Skin Care - Caudalie Premier Cru

Caudalie-Premier-Cru-La-Creme Anyone who knows me knows I’m not much of a wine person. I much prefer an ice cold beer, but I learned a new interesting wine fact with this next product. There is a term called Premier Cru, which was created by Napoleon III in the mid-1800s that grades the quality of vineyards and ranks them from the first to the fifth. And in its history, only five have ever come in first or Premier. And now you can use the Premier one in skin care, or at least according to them! The power of grape seed has long been the star ingredient in the CAUDALIE line and they just came out with Premier Cru La Crème, that not helps celebrate 10 years but has three patents. Yup, you read correctly, three patents to prevent, correct and maintain. They recommend almost two months of straight usage to see results and I am almost to that mark. What do I see? Honestly, not much change with the naked eye but someone commented that my skin looked great the other day so if they notice it, it must be doing something! Oh and I had zero makeup on at the time. Things that make you go hmmmm. $150/1.7oz only @

And as I was writing this up, I read a review of a long time La Mer user switching permanently to this one. That’s pretty big.

Mally Beauty Releases Her Signature Fragrance

Mally-Beauty-Signature-Parfum-Spray Mally Roncal of MALLY BEAUTY just came out with her first Fragrance Eau de Parfum! And you probably have not smelled one like this before. It pays tribute to her Filipino roots by using the country’s national flower, the Sampaguita, as its heart. So what does this blossom smell like? It’s a tropical flower and belongs to the jasmine family. It’s funny that the overall scent is described in the press release as an “energetic blend …” and I really think they nailed it with those few words as it is quite uplifting. More words I would use to describe it is heady, happy, stimulating and … gosh darn sexy!

Other notes include citrus, freesia, mandarin, red currant and some base notes of peach, coconut, sandalwood and musk. So if these are some of the notes found in some of your favorite fragrances then you should check this one out.

The bottle is pretty basic looking aside from some cute charms hanging off the neck - two hearts and a gold metal “m.” This would have scored bigger points if the hearts were Swarovski and not plastic! I think Mally has a winner on her hands with this one. $65/1.7oz @

New Hair Care Line - Lea Journo!

Lea-Journo-Hydrating-Shampoo You've always depended on us to bring you the best and latest products and here's one for hair product lovers. Famous LA hair stylist and salon owner LEA JOURNO has catered to many celebs’ heads of hair and now she’s put out a full product line. And how refreshing are the colors and eco packaging? All the products are sulfate and paraben free and the packaging? The flex pouches that the shampoo and conditioner come in use 85% less materials that standard packaging. Wow.

There’s a Hydrating Shampoo ($24/10oz), Hydrating Conditioner ($24/10oz), Volumizing Spray ($28/8oz) Illuminating Moisturizer for Hair & Body ($32/8oz), Glossing Cream ($28/5oz), Styling Lotion ($28/5oz), Intense Hydrating Masque ($45/6.7oz), French Plum Oil ($65/1oz) and even a Glam Bag and Travel Kit.

So how do the products perform? Each has some star ingredients like Sweet Almond Peptides in the Shampoo and real Tahitian Vanilla in the Illuminating Moisturizer. While I have not tried every product just yet, my favorites so far are the Glossing Cream and Intense Hydrating Masque (this one is a total keeper). Check out more about this line @

Budget Beauty False Eyelashes With Revlon

Revlon-Fantasy-Lengths-False-Eyelashes-in-Chic I’ll admit it, most of the false eyelashes we’ve covered in the past have been a little over the top, however, there are some great everyday ones out there. Ones I wore over the weekend were 'Fantasy Lengths' Maximum Wear Glue on Eyelashes from REVLON in Chic. They really looked real so maybe they should call them Natural Lengths? As you know the lashes come in an array of styles and lengths and the other one I recommend for daytime look is Flirty.

They also have lashes that are self-adhesive aka require no glue, but I find the glue ones are easier to handle, but that’s the beauty of beauty, what works for one might not work for another but it’s nice to have options. $5.49 @

Give Hair Texture & Bigness With Sebastian Professional

I knew I was onto something when my neighbor came down her stairs as I was walking to my garage for a night out on the town and said, “Wow, I really like your hair!” I hadn’t done anything drastically different other than give my long locks some texture. I guess I have been on the smooth/lazy bandwagon too long and not so much big or piecey, like it was that night. Meow!

Since I just had the Brazilian Keratin Treatment done to my hair again recently, the only thing I can do these days is texturize it, which is fine by me.
So what did I have in my hair? One of the products from SEBASTIAN’s new Texture Collection. Think of them like a car with each one performance driven and these are made for those with long hair, yeah!

It’s made up of three products:

  • Microweb Fiber: Elastic Texturizer ($18.95/1.5oz) – inspired by the flexibility, invisibility and invincibility of a spider’s web. Gives hair flexibility and a soft texture.
  • Texturizer: Flexible Bodifying Liquigel ($15.95/5.1oz) – a medium hold gel that gives straight hair some pieciness and curly hair definition.
  • Matte Putty: Soft-dry Texturizer ($16.95/2.6oz) – provides a matte finish. Use to create a piecy look.

The New Lippies from Estee Lauder Really Do Stay!

Estee-Lauder-Double-Wear-Stay-In-Place-Lipstick I don’t know the last time I felt such a creamy lipstick that was long wearing as these ESTEE LAUDER Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lipstick  ($22). They contain a polymeric technology and flexible film formers help the color stay satiny, stay true and well, stay on!

And there are some great colors like the blue red of Stay Scarlet and a tawny called Stay Ginger. Yes, they are a little on the pricey side but if my lips stay moist and stay colored, it’s worth it.

The also came out with complementing Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencils ($19) too, so stock up on those that don't move!

Lancome's Oscillation Powerfoundation Review

Lancome-Oscillation-PowerFoundation-2 Wow, was I ready for LANCOME’s new Oscillation Powerfoundation with SPF 21 to be a gimmick. It just seems that taking the vibrating technology to foundation was pushing it too far. I mean it sounds good in theory but, really, vibrating mineral foundation?? It uses 7,000 micro-vibrations per minutes to break down the powder into mircronized particles and work them into the skin for a natural look, which actually makes more sense than you would immediately think! And you don’t have to make circles with the sponge, which you normally do when it comes to applying mineral powders. The formula also contains aloe and a vitamin E complex and is totally talc and oil free. Available in 12 shades. $48/.21oz @
