Hard Candy Is Back With A Winner

Hard-Candy-Intensif-eye-Radiant-Shadow-Stick Not sure if you heard the news that the HARD CANDY is now exclusively being sold in Walmart stores. I’m not sure how I feel about it since a.) this line broke a lot of ground for Indy makeup brands and b.) I saw the documentary Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price. Rent it. Very eye opening.

Anyway, I’m just going to focus on how much I love this line and these Intensif-eye Radiant Shadow Sticks ($6 @ Big colors/neons are so in right now for clothing and accessories so how taking it one step further with a pop of creamy color on the lids? Like the hot pink of Pixie or the bright green of Pop, all the shades are really wearable and you control the intensity. Nicely done, Hard Candy.

Exuviance Sheer Refining Fluid Controls Oil

Exuviance-Sheer-Refining-Fluid-2 A good friend of mine has super oily skin and is always looking for a product to control it throughout the day so I gave her EXUVIANCE’s Sheer Refining Fluid SPF 15 ($32/1.75oz @ to try out. I didn’t even have to bug her for her feedback as she came back to me after about 1 week of using it to give praise! Love that!

This contains the ingredient Phytotal, which is a botanical blend that not only controls the oil production throughout the day but claims to reduce excess oil over time. Hmmmm. I told her to get back to me on that one. It also contains a NeoGlucosamine, which works on discolorations on the skin and improves the tone and texture.

Philip B Will Fix Your Hair

Philip-B-White-Truffle-Nourishing-&-Conditioning-Creme There are few things I am serious about when it comes to beauty. One is a face scrub, mascara and the other is hair conditioner. Think of PHILIP B’s White Truffle Nourishing Hair Conditioning Rinse ($28/2oz, $75/6oz @ as thee luxury hair product. If your hair really needs to be brought back from major damage, this one can get you there. I mean this one can, really get you there! It’s made specifically for those with chemical or color-treated hair like just about every female I know, right? So what makes it soooo good? Probably the 23.3% Pure Botanical Extracts of White Truffle combined with the amino acids and vitamin E. It can be used as a regular in the shower conditioner or a longer weekly treatment, which is how I’ve been using it. Big recommendation.

New Hair Care Line Called LiQWD

LiQWd-Professional-Volumizing-Catalyst We have some major hair technology to lay on you from a new line that was created by the founders of  Alterna. The line is called LiQWD and it uses exclusive Nano-Hydrasphere to help the nutrients in the products reach the previously unreachable cortex layer of the hair. The line is comprised of a Hydrating Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner and a Volumizing Shampoo and Volumizing Conditioner, an Intensive Hair Repair, and then three styling products, Volumizing Catalyst, Smoothing Catalyst and then one they just call SLiQWD. The only issue I have with this line is that the shampoos contain sodium laureth sulfate, which is a known hair color killer. BUT they have, what they call, ColorLife® technology in the shampoos to help keep color vibrant, so my question is, doesn’t one cancel out the other? Hmmm, a little confused.

Anyway, the Professional Volumizing Catalyst ($36/5oz @ is one I can 100% get behind. About 10 to 20 pumps of the formula worked in towel-dried hair is all you need to add some vava voom to your hair.
