Recession-ista Foundation from Maybelline New York

Maybelline-Instant-Age-Rewind Face foundation is such a personal choice. Almost as personal as underwear if not more. That’s why I love to try all the different types out there – powder, cream, liquid. And I almost overlooked this next one. We cover more non-drugstore brands on the pages since they are more of an investment but a mere $10 these days is an expenditure for a lot of people. So next time you’re in the drugstore, I would stop and give this one a gander. MAYBELLINE NEW YORK’s Instant Age Rewind Cream Compact Foundation ($7.99 @ drugstore.com) comes in 8 different shades and contains a SPF 18. Nice! Now how would I describe the formula? Medium to full coverage and I have seen a few reviews that say it has some sparkle to it but I didn’t notice any in the one I have here. Hmmmm. Oh, almost forgot, this compact contains one of those duo-sided sponges where one side gives you a sheerer coverage than the other and this one has a mirror inside.

I love Maybelline cosmetics as they really are quality makeup at wonderful prices, but you think they would have more than just 8 shades of this makeup....

Great blog. Thanks for the foundation review.

This is a decent foundation but I have to say that I gave myself the gift of airbrush makeup this Christmas and I am THRILLED!! It is absolutely amazing!! I have never had the best skin, always been acne-prone, no problem for airbrush makeup; not only does it give me a full coverage but it's not cakey or heavy in the least bit. My kit is from www.dinair.com. Another awesome thing...they even have lessons on the website so if I run into any probs I just log on. I highly recommend this system and urge you to atleast check it out : )
Happy Airbrushing!
