Wrap Yourself In the Latest From Hilary Duff
I really don’t care for the whole celebrity fragrance partnership. I think the market is saturated and I can’t believe it when I hear of yet another coming out. I know that each celeb is somewhat involved in the creation process but to me, it’s an area better left untouched by celebs for the most part. I did come across one that I am embarrassed to admit. Wrapped With Love by HILARY DUFF ($38/1.7oz @ amazon.com) is her second fragrance and this one is a floral that is so right now summertime. It contains notes of honeydew, blood orange, plum, violet, white lily, raspberry, vanilla bean, musk and white chocolate mousse. White chocolate mousse? Don’t let that scare you off, this one is through and through juicy and fruity. And did I mention that the scents lasts a pretty long time on the skin? Now we’re talkin’.

I so agree about celebs and "their" perfumes. Personally, I am sick of seeing them all hawking their wares. Commercials, infomercials, home shopping shows, blah blah blah. Perfume, makeup, exercise equipment, blah blah blah.
You know it used to be the norm that an actor never appeared in advertisements because it made them look like a failure in their "true" profession. Now it seems like acting is just a stepping stone to sales.

Hi Christie, it still sells product though and until we stop buying it, they will still put it out. And it doesn't bother me except when it comes to perfumes. It just seems so over indulgant to me.

My problem with perfumes that come from MUCH younger celebrities is that I think adults will have a problem taking the product seriously. I'm glad you had the guts to try it!! I may have to broaden my horizons a little more!!

Her last fragrance was pretty well made and smelled nice. Little goes into the actual making of the fragrance for celebrity fragrances, as they are marketed towards a target audience (the fanbase) who will purchase the scent no matter how terrible it may smell. Her last one however was a rather nice one which was a welcoming surprise!
