Wrap Yourself In the Latest From Hilary Duff

Wrappedwithlovebyhilary

I really don’t care for the whole celebrity fragrance partnership. I think the market is saturated and I can’t believe it when I hear of yet another coming out. I know that each celeb is somewhat involved in the creation process but to me, it’s an area better left untouched by celebs for the most part. I did come across one that I am embarrassed to admit. Wrapped With Love by HILARY DUFF ($38/1.7oz @ amazon.com) is her second fragrance and this one is a floral that is so right now summertime. It contains notes of honeydew, blood orange, plum, violet, white lily, raspberry, vanilla bean, musk and white chocolate mousse. White chocolate mousse? Don’t let that scare you off, this one is through and through juicy and fruity. And did I mention that the scents lasts a pretty long time on the skin? Now we’re talkin’.

The Evolution Of Smooth

Eos_2I love a gourmet shaving cream. There are not many out there so when I do come across one, it’s a must try. The latest one on the market? EVOLUTiON OF SMOOTH or EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream ($5.49/7oz @ drugstore.com) and this one does double duty -- shaves and moisturizes. And I like that you don’t have to wet your legs before putting it on as it doesn’t lather. It’s a cream and contains aloe, shea butter, and antioxidant vitamins. And how happening is the container? It’s easy to grab and hold onto and is recyclable so toss it in the blue bin when you’re finished. Available in three scents: Pomegranate Raspberry, Island Blue and Vanilla Bliss.

Smooooth It Out With Affinage

Affinagetameit_2Here’s a new salon hair styling line coming to us from the UK, you’ll probably want to check out. AFFiNAGE is meant to be all things to all people - body, volume, texture, sculpting, smoothing, shaping, protecting, conditioning, shine and finishing. No small feat! But they give us the Indigo line and say it encompasses all this by using the latest in technology. The first one that has me wow’d is Tame It ($26.30/2.7oz @ 877-597-2929). Who doesn’t need to smooth strands and keep frizzies away? This one is made to be used on dry hair and just a small dab is good for the whole head. And I love the wicked cool blue packaging. Read more about this cool line @ affinage.com

Product As Art

This piece has actually been a while in the making. I have been compiling products that are too pretty to touch as in, I can’t bear to break the seal and run a brush over the colors. Does anyone else have this issue?

Something like (4.MAC’s limited edition Colour Forms Cool Eyes x 5 ($38 only @ nordstrom.com) shown here practically sends me into spasms! Not only are the color blocks pretty but can you imagine keeping each color in their designated area? Ok, I’m a little obsessed with that too. There’s nothing more skin crawling than seeing a dirty palette.

Since palette or shadow art has become so hot and so pleasant to look at, I’ll highlight some of my favorites each season. While every product that appears on Cybelesays is tried and tested by us, this on-going feature will feature ones that we might not have tried and tested, just fawned over. How do you like that?

So purchase them or not, here are a few that just took our breath away.

2. DIOR ‘Impression Cuir Leather Couture’ Eyeshadow ($55 @ nordstrom.com)

3. GUERLAIN ‘Mereorites’ Illuminating Press Powder ($65 @ nordstrom.com)

4. ESTEE LAUDER Pure Color Swirl Gloss ($18 @ esteelauder.com)

Quick Pick - Nars Lip Lacquer

NarsglossI’ve always been a fan of NARS Lip Lacquer ($24 @ nordstrom.com). I love feel of the large pot, unscrewing the top, and even planning where to stick my fingertip to get a dab o’ color. My latest fave has been the dark brick red shade of Diablo. I just wish it came with some kind of application brush. I never know what to do with the leftover gloss on my finger after I’m done applying it!
