Clean Logic REALLY Cleans

CleanlogicIt’s not often that I come up against a product I am kind of but that was the case when I first touched CLEAN LOGiC’s Stretch Bath & Shower Cloth ($6.99 @ It’s coarse, man! But the roughness seems to soften a little when the water hits it, but not too much, which is good. I also like that as the name states, it’s stretchy so I can apply some liquid soap and get my whole back area. I’ve been trying to find an alternative to those gauze shower puffs as I heard they can harbor mucho bacteria. So this is getting me on my way. Choose from four colors.

Suki Gives Good Eye

SUKI COLOR's Triple Cream Eye Definer ($41.95 @ are some of the best cream shadows I have ever used. It’s a very thin formula but totally buildable. Need nighttime sex appeal? Allure’s May issue declaredSukismoke a wet looking smoky eye will be the #1 look for fall. And the deep rich slightly shimmery gray of Smoke will give you this look. Another way to use this cream is by using it as a straight up liner or crease color. The coppery brown of Amber is perfect for this. While it seems that any kind of stiff brush will work well to blend these, I found that a sponge tip works best, especially when it comes to applying in the crease.

Rock On With Roc

I think what sold me on ROC’s Daily Microdermabrasion Cleaning Disks ($9.99/24 pads @ is the fact that you have so much control by being able to slip a few fingers inside it. Let’s look at it from all sides, haha.Roc2_2 This is a finger-pocket face cleaner. There’s the Crystal side, which contains their own ingredient Crystalex (micro-crystals that gently provide gentle microdermabrasion action) and the Diamond Side, which contains ridges that exude moisturizers while you cleanse. It claims a lot of anti-aging benefits but like I said above, the engineering of it and choice between sides is what fascinated me with this one. The size of the pad is nice at a little over 3” around but I wish these were reusable. It just seems like a waste to use such a nicely manufactured item one time only to be thrown in the trash. Although these were a treat to use, I don’t think I’ll be buying it again. Just too wasteful.

You Read It Here First ... Urban Decay 2008 Fall Collection

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to do a Your Read It Here First ... So here’s the lowdown on the 2008 Fall Collection from URBAN DECAY.

Our pick from the collection has to be the retooled Lipstick ($22). Hold a piece of gothic artwork in the palm of your hand! And doesn't the picture on the right make it look like a toilet brush in it's holder? I wish I could get one that looked that cool. Here's the rest of the deets: 21 shades ** infused with vitamins A, C, E ** paraben-free ** creme carmel flavor ** hot purple heavy case.

Also coming out for fall:

  • 24/7 Lip Pencil available in 6 shades ($16)
  • Grindhouse Pencil Sharpener ($8)
  • 24/7 Concealer Pencil ($16)
  • Matte Eye Shadows – 3 new shades - Heist, Electric, Shakedown ($16)

Be Part Of The Happy Hands Club With AB Skincare

Ab_2We found a few products that focus just on the hands and feet and I’m not talking about just ones that moisturize, as we’ve seen hundreds of those. *Yawn* These are anti-aging product specifically targeting the two areas and they come to us from AB SKiNCARE. We wrote about their Sun product back in May but there is so much more to this line than I initially thought. We’ve all heard the benefits of glycolic acid in beauty products but because we are all on info overload, here’s a reminder - because of its tiny size, glycolic acid is excellent at being able to penetrate skin layers to lessen the appearance of fine lines and scars, clear up acne and even fade sunspots. AB Skincare has some products for the face but as I mentioned, what really perked up my ears are the products made just for the hands and feet. Love that! It’s true that if you want to guess a woman’s age, to look at her hands but she may now confuse you if she regularly uses AB Hands. Each pad is dripping with the super-strength formula to help eliminate age spots, lines and work on sun damage.

Let’s next work our way down to one of my favorite areas to pamper, the feet! AB Happy Feet pads are infused with 20% pure glycolic, vitamins A, C, E, and even the popular anti-aging ingredient Q10. The glycolic works on the tough rough calluses and the other ingredients help the skin out. They even claim that using a pad daily will strengthen the nails and keep nasty discolorations at bay. Hmmmm. I don’t know how many days you’d have to use them to get that benefit but I’ve got about 46 of them left.

There is one aspect I reckon they might want to rethink with these. While I agree that a pad is a great way to carry the ingredients from the container to the location on the body, the pads tend to roll and bunch up if I don’t swipe in a straight line. Maybe a bigger size would work? I’m not sure what the answer is but I just had to throw it out there. Otherwise, two great products! $95/60 pads each @

You Better Work!

WhitesandshairsprayRuPaul should be the spokesperson for the new Stuck-Up ($24-$26/10oz @ salons nationwide) from WHITE SANDS. This mega-hold hairspray really … holds but it’s another one of those that you should consider reaching for when styling. Like their other revolutionary hairsprays, it can be used on wet or dry hair and combed out with no leftover residue or stiffness. And what about using it with hot tools like a curling iron or straight iron? It not only helps you make the most perfect curl but it makes the strands really shiny. Fun! I’ve been trying different styles out with this spray – from really straight to more natural looking loose waves, and this really helps you achieve the many different looks I go for on a weekly basis. Big recommendation.
